Fantastic river views

Pros: views and fire.
Cons: club lounge was cold.
Location: canary wharf is across river (free ferry)
Had superb one night stay, particularly enjoyed light lunch in the library.

Amazing hotel with amazing staff! The ferry that takes you over the other side was such a good idea and it's free! Makes traveling round London a lot easier, overall amazing hotel.

Brilliant location and facilities

Pros: I am on a training course for 6 months which requires me to stay overnight on a Friday so the location is perfect
I love the location of the hotel. There is a ferry service available which is fabulous and underground parking at a reasonable rate if needed.

Very cosy, 2 nights

Very comfortable. I stayed here with my partner for 2 nights. Staff were so friendly and helpful. I didn't use any of the facilities as we were out most of the time but I loved our room and the view. Would definitely recommend the hotel and will be coming back again in the future! Great value for money!

Functional hotel [see below]

For an international hotel the "basics" were ok but there were a number of issues re service: 1. 30 minutes to check in ..... one desk assistant at Christmas ??? 2. Room smelt of damp 3. Bar area very cold ..... obvious given the number of guests wearing coats and hats 4. Request for help with room heating not acted upon 5. Had to ask multiple times for extra towels to be delivered 6. No access to drinks or snacks late on ..... either in the room or at reception 7. Room service ended early relative to other hotels 8. Booked a taxi to Victoria train station and indicated we had 7 suitcases ...... provided with a standard car which could not hold all the suitcases. Had to get an Uber and almost missed our train to the airport as a result Having said this Antonio at the bar was extremely helpful and was trying to help as much as he could with the issues.

Pros: the view at night was beautiful

Hello what can I say hmm so much improvement can be done! First the lighting in the rooms is horrible, it's way too dark. Housekeeping needs to re stock all toiletries on a daily basis, we should NOT have to go searching for soap, also they, need to step up their cleaning of the rooms. Service at the bar was slow & the staff was not friendly. Service at the restaurant again slow, perhaps they were short staffed but never less put a smile on! after all it's the service industry you are in. We also had a problem with the tv we wanted to rent a movie & it wasn't working ,either was the phone so my husband went down to the front desk , & the M.O.D( who was pleasant) came to our room to help anyway this whole inconvenience took about an hour we were finally able to rent the movie BUT you think after all of the problems the movie should have been "on the house" again it's the hospitality industry no?!

No HOT water in the hotel.

Staff is aware that 60% of the hotel has no hot water and still they send you to this rooms. on the second night we got a room with hot water but no heating. Drink vouchers are given for each complain but I don't drink! So I got my brakefast for free! No public transportation close by. You have to cross the river and walk 15 minutes to the closest metro. Staff is incompetent and un-polite! I wouldn't book again!

room allocation incorrect,

Pros: Location
We paid for a double twin , given a single double , moved to a Family room , 1 double 2 singles , finally about 40 mins later are shown to the room we booked
