Sons 7th birthday treat/trip to London.
Posted Jul 11, 2016
Booked a family room at this hotel with expedia.
Room supplied basically a double with 2 additional beds squeezed in to make it a family room.
Room was around 8ft by 16ft.
Double bed pushed up against the wall, so climbing over your partner in the night to use the bathroom, was fun.
Luckily as the bed was so unconfutable, with its plastic under sheet, and the room so hot (window only opened 3 inchs, fan sounded like a small plane on take off) trips to the bathroom where few and far between, as most fluid was sweated out during the 3 or 4 hours of broke sleep.
Arrived for breakfast just after 8am, with my 2 young sons (wife finishing getting ready).
Breakfast room is small, with most tables already occupied with other guests, either sitting down at tables or coats over chairs.
2 x 2 seated tables left for our family.
Just about to sit at the 2 aforementioned tables, when what I thought where guest, but where actually staff, decided to move there coats and other belongings from the chairs, to allow us to sit as a family.
There is nothing to distinguish staff from guests, uniform or name tag would be helpful.
Breakfast offerings consisted of 2 different types of bread, 3 different types of bread rolls, sausage (hot), scramble eggs, hard boil eggs, cheese, fresh fruit, jams, yogurts, orange and apple juice.
Staff (when bother) asked if we would like tea or coffee.
Son had sickness and diarrhoea believe to be from the scrambled egg, as he was the only one to have it.
