Pros: Full english breakfast was included and great. Staff was pleasant, curious, and helpful.
Cons: Bathroom extremely cramped.
One-night stay at the end of our vacation. The room was small, but clean and pleasant. The bathroom was extremely small, so not suitable for a large person. Quiet street, although there is construction currently across the way during the day. Close to St. Pancras / Kings Cross, so convenient for Eurostar, underground, and other transportation.

In Need of a RefurbishmentPosted Sep 17, 2015
Pros: The staff, on the other hand, were excellent, easy to ask questions of at the front desk, and the breakfast room staff looked after me very well, noth
Cons: Hotel fabric needs a good refurbishment
I was in a first floor single room, very basic and not much room to move. The windows did not shut properly as there was a draft coming in through the gaps. The floorboards creaked every time I walked from one end to the other (3 steps approximately) and of course it was a shared bathroom (I expected this latter as that was what was available when I booked). However, I would say that the hotel is getting a little tired and is badly in need of a refurbishment, not just a dose of TLC.

Handy for Euston/Kings Cross/St Pancras StationsPosted Sep 7, 2015
Pros: Plenty to eat at breakfast - fruit juices, cereals, fresh fruit and cooked English breakfast.
Cons: Repairs completed promptly.
Location: 5 minutes walk to bus stop for transport to Trafalgar Square. 10 minutes walk to Euston/Kings Cross/St Pancras Stations. Hire a bike on the doorstep.
Two windows in room, neither that would shut, one where the frame had disintegrated. Didn't bother asking for change, I'm a pensioner and had already humped my luggage up to the second floor as there was no lift. Bedroom furniture second rate.

You get a little more than you pay for.Posted Aug 18, 2015
Pros: Comfort and cleanliness.
Cons: No elevators, but can't be helped in an old building. Furniture placement is quirky; I couldn't open the wardrobe fully this time. Internet is shaky.
Location: Charming crescent. Short walk to Russell Square, British Museum, etc.. Plenty of affordable restaurants of many cuisines. Laundry/P.O./Internet cafes.
This is one of the more affordable B&B hotels on the Cartwright Gardens crescent, handy to Russell Square, the British Museum, etc. It has all the essentials for a good place to spend the night, including comfortable mattresses, blackout curtains, impeccably clean floors and basins, newly renovated though tiny showers/basins (in the same space as the toilets), and a general sense of security. The prices are reasonable, even though the rooms are small. But the George also has that intangible extra quality of true friendliness. For example, I asked for "extra bacon" at breakfast, one of the reasons I travel to England, and was cheerfully served five or six large pieces every morning. The new French-press coffee is really good. Everyone has a genuine smile. Even though the stairs can be a struggle with heavy luggage and the rooms a little warm in full summer despite the fans, I don't plan to stay anywhere else. I love the area; there is a choice between long-established local businesses and a modern shopping mall, the Brunswick Center.

Clean, modest and very well locatedPosted Aug 2, 2015
The wifi password they gave me didn't work at all and when it did the signal was very very spotty. Would be nice if the wifi was actually dependable if they promise it

Great Location average hotelPosted Jul 28, 2015
Cons: extra bathrooms , more interested staff
Location: very near kings cross station
Staff dont seem very interested and if you book a room without an ensuite there seems to only be one bathroom so quite a bit of a wait involved. Otherwise room is small, but comfortable and clean

Great for a short stayPosted Jul 22, 2015
I booked this hotel for a short weekend stay and gives all you need. Great for the tube and in a nice location in the West of London. If you are doing a weekend stay then this hotel is ideal.
