Convenient location, excellent facility

Posted Aug 28, 2015
Pros: Pool! Time efficient check in/out.
Location: The tower of London is located close to this hotel.
I might not be an only person who wishes to swim after a hard discussion or before a long flight. This hotel provides a big clean pool and a jaccuzi. It is located 30 seconds walking distance from Tower hill metro station. Considering generally high cost of accommodations in London, I don’t think this hotel is expensive.

Lovely view of the Thames and tower bridge

The executive room on the ninth floor overlooking the Thames was excellent. Everything we needed for a short stay in London

Great hotel for a London visit

Posted Aug 23, 2015
Pros: Friendly service and good facilities
Location: A good position near the Tower of London and Tower bridge. Perfect for strolling along the south bank with its bars and restaurants, and river trips.
Lovely hotel next to the Tower of London, perfectly positioned for a walk along the south bank. Nice room, pleasant and attentive service. No hesitation in recommending to others.

Disappointed

Posted Aug 23, 2015
Pros: Not very much
Cons: Loads
Having stayed in several Grange Hotels in London, The Grange City was dull and dark compared to the others. The room we stayed in had a bed that folded out of the wall, was very uncomfortable and creaked so much that just turning over was enough to wake you. The view from our room was zero. It looked out onto a wall about 6 feet away. This was meant to be an executive room. The cost of the breakfast was extortionate so we gave that a miss. Definitely won't be going back. On the plus side the staff were pleasant.

Hotel in a good location but not a 5 star hotel.

Posted Aug 17, 2015
The hotel was spacious and the staff helpfull, the negatives points would be, the room view was horrible and the airconditon was not working properly, it was stuffy in the room and in the looby. This hotel is definitely not a 5 star!

Schickes Hotel nahe U-Bahn-Station Tower Hill

Posted Aug 9, 2015

Great hotel, very near tube station

Posted Jul 30, 2015
Pros: Location, spacious room
Stayed here 1 week with my husband and 2 sons. We booked a quadruple room that had 2 queen beds that was plenty spacious for all of us. Beautiful rooms, updated, tons of drawers and storage. 5 minute walk to the Tower Hill tube station. Also, 5 minutes to Tower of London. Hotel breakfast is expensive, but 5 minute walk around the corner to Pret A Manger, which has coffee, breakfast sandwiches and pastries at a good price. About 15 minute tube ride to most major tourist attractions -- the tube is very easy to navigate -- preorder an Oyster card before you go for easy tube travel. Small grocery store within 10 minutes walk, where we bought some granola bars for quick breakfast in the go. Lots of dinner options within 10 minute walk either north, or south towards St Katherine's Dock. Taxi to Heathrow is about 50 minutes without traffic (with traffic is over an hour) and costs about 80 pound sterling (taxis are horribly expensive in London, so take the underground or trains whenever you can). Free Wifi, which worked fine. Spacious lobby with comfy chairs to hang out. Friendly staff. Really enjoyed this hotel - happy to recommend it.
