Was a great hotel now looking tired

Pros: Convenient location. Plenty of free parking.
Cons: Needs a complete refurb. Hot breakfast needs to go back to waiter service at weekends or at least make sure there is enough food for all the guests.
Location: On the edge of London on a quiet side street. Twenty five minute walk to nearby tube station.
Fourth stay in this hotel. Unfortunately this time the service was not as good, still ok but could be so much better. The hotel is in need of a refurb, it was a bit shabby round the edges but now it's looking much worse. I don't believe rust in the bath, cracked panes in the window and dodgy looking electrics are acceptable in a four star hotel. Ok it is an old building which is part of it's charm, but there are limits. Breakfast used to be great, now at weekends we were told they only provide a buffet for hot food. This may have been acceptable if the buffet was kept well supplied. When we used it at 8.30 on Saturday it had already run out of bacon, eggs and sausage.

Great service from staff. They're very nice, and very willing to make your stay a pleasant one. Also, it's close access to the bus and the underground.

Country house in the heart of suburbia

Ibrahim was polite and accommodating. The room was suberb. A little cold at night but more reason to hug my girlfriend. In the morning, a Sunday morning, everything was peaceful. Beautiful stay and will return again. What a surprise rate. Thank you DeszI Ricco

Lovely room and hotel, worn in places but expected, the temporary bed provided for our 12 year old daughter was a bit rickety. Only real gripe is the service, never felt truly welcome and a tray left outside by a neighbouring room when we arrived at 5.30 pm was still outside when we left at 8.45 the next morning.

Peaceful location and comfy beds

Pros: Friendly. Formal and informal dining on offer as well as room service. Free parking is a bonus.
Cons: As with many older hotels it needs constant TLC but in general it is in a good state of repair and anything requiring attention is done immediately.
Location: I didn't explore as was only here for one night on business.
Tasty food and attentive service. A warm welcome and pleasant check out.

Great hotel in North London.

Very enjoyable stay at Hendon Hall. Rooms were very comfortable, excellent bathroom, excellent breakfast. Lovely setting and very pleasant staff.

Stayed in April 2017 for close proximity to a workshop that was taking place in the grounds. Every night there was banging coming from the kitchens below my room although the room was ok. As you walk around the corridors there's a sense of neglect due to unpainted doors and wear and tear not been taken care of. Stayed again this weekend for one night and this time there was again noise coming from staff banging and dragging stuff across the floors. The place is actually alright it just depends on which room you happen to get due to where it's located.

Lovely breakfast

Pros: Friendly and clean.
Our room was spotless but cool. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast table catered for most tastes and beautifully presented.

Not our first stay at Hendon Hall, but very enjoyable as always. Very comfortable and homely. Friendly staff. Good breakfast.
