convenient

Pros: Proximity to airport
Location: Nothing
A quick overnight to catch an early flight. The hotel was conveniently located as walking distance to airport. I expected more from a Hilton. For the price, was not the best value. Stayed for convenience only.

not your typical Hilton

The bathroom in my room looked like it was partially in process of being renovated or either falling apart. There were cracks in the walls, and the toilet wouldn't flush properly you had to hold the button down for a good 3-4 minutes for it to flush, that became a pain. I was stiff and sore when I awoke from the uncomfortable mattress. The ice machine wouldn't work on my level. There are no USB plugs to charge your stuff, all other Hilton hotels I've been at in the world have upgraded to USB plugs. overall it was okay but I've stayed at better airport hotels this was my least favourite.

Pros: Convenience to Gatwick airport. Comfort. Assistance of reception staff.
Cons: Suited us as it is.
Location: Great for making an early flight.
Staff were welcoming. Beds were extremely comfortable. Just what we needed after a 24 hours of travel. Very quiet.

Fine for overnighting between flights

We have used the hotel several times for overnighting between North American and European flights, and it serves that purpose well. The rooms are basic-- clean and functional. The location is great for South Terminal flights at Gatwick. The staff is friendly and helpful. The price is extremely reasonable for what you get. Nothing is memorable, but then again that is not the purpose of this hotel.

Nice hotel, convenient location

Pros: Comfortable beds for all our kids and convenient location
Cons: Front desk was on second floor, better signage on first floor to check in would be great
Location: At Gatwick airport so very convenient to fly out early next morning.
We are a family of five and it is often hard to find hotels that accommodate us. This room was excellent and very comfortable for adults and all kids.

Real close to Gatwick

Close to airport but otherwise not worth the money

Cons: Not much--I think they know they are at the airport so who cares about standards. Need much improvement
Have stayed in a variety of hotels etc from low end hostels to high end Fairmont but this Hilton is seriously lacking. I have stayed at Hilton's before but this one just does NOT care. Lobby is fine and so are staff but the rooms are run down and lacking in the basics. Sink and tub were clogged so could not shower or run the sink without it filling up. One pillow, no robes, dirty cups on the counter, no info on the city at all. Stayed at a small hotel for most of my trip in the heart of London for half the price, decided to move for a night of higher end hotel--NOT this one.
