Only Advantage, close to Gatwick

I arrived from Portugal Gatwick and had an early morning flight to Toronto the following day so I stayed here. On arrival it was -7C Although there was no one checking in and i had a reservation it took the receptionist some time to find my reservation. I was then allocated a room as far away as possible from the elevator. It was a huge room with two double beds and a Queen Sized bed and i was alone! I was exhausted after my flight and just wanted to shower and get a drink form the mini bar and a snack before turning in. However the room was so cold it was impossible to shower, when I turned up the thermostat it sounded like a propeller engined plane and no heat came out. I skipped the shower! I went to the mini bar and found that was empty so I tried to sleep, but thenoise form the vent was so loud i had a very bad rest. All in all this was an awful experience. I conplained in the norjing and the lady said she would like to make it right but there was no way of making a sleepless night in a freezing room right and i was leaving on a trans Atlantic flight. Sorry HIlton, never agian!
