The room was clean but a bit shabby. The loo seat was too small for the size of the pedestal. The sink had hairline cracks. That said, the staff were very welcoming and friendly. My biggest gripe is that I had paid for the room in advance of our stay but a £50 payment was taken as a further deposit, which will not be refunded for 5 - 7 working days. I think this is unacceptable.

Very tored property! I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Kensington last week and it was fantastic. The Welbeck Street one is no comparison. Very tired, no room service and breakfast limited. Not good when you're a woman on your own. Decor was awfu.i paid less for the one in Kensington too!!!

Stayed here many times over the past 20 years, the decor is a bit dated but overall not a problem, literally 3 minutes from Oxford st, 10 minutes from Paddington station to Bond st underground then a 2 minute walk to the hotel. would not hesitate to stay in the future, really good breakfast as well.

Excellent location but hotel rooms very small and shabby. Furniture needs replacing and walls paper thin. We could hear next doors’ conversations word for word. Breakfast was good and also good value for money.

The first room that they gave me was the worst, it was small and old, also the bathroom lighting was very weak, and when i asked to change the room, they asked me so check out before 11 AM and to check in again at 3PM !!!

Great Hotel needing a few attentions to detail
Location is not correct- it’s Marylebone, not Oxford Circus. Room - beds and bathroom excellent. Air con was , I suspect , pre set. Asked Reception to increase temperature- no dice. TV was blocking. Advised Reception, but only partially improved. Staff wonderful, Breakfast fantastic. We would stay again as the main factors are a very high standard Value for money. Well, ok👍.

Friendly and accommodating staff and especially the concierge were very welcoming. Space is a bit tight in the rooms and bathroom, but we would definitely return in the future.

Great stay.
Perfectly fine for a couple of nights! Beds were super comfy and room was a decent size. Quiet (we looked out to the back of the hotel) and location fab. Bathrooms could do with renovation

Great location. Excellent staff. Room was a little tired and far too hot. Air conditioning not working and fans were positioned in the room instead but these did not really help. Room was well stocked. Clean, but did have to clean toilet seat on arrival.

Dirty and falling apart
This hotel is unkept. Everything felt dirty and old. The room seemed like it was falling apart. Paint peeling and torn carpet. The mattress was on top of some sort of frame that didn’t even fit the size of the bed. We found poop covered wads of toilet paper under the toilet paper holder flap. Clearly the cleaning staff isn’t doing their job very well. The room also had a very old and musty smell. We canceled our reservation for this hotel on the back end of our stay because we just couldn’t stay here again. The price is way too high for what you get here.

Good for location only.
Pros - great location and close for walking to shopping, food and underground. Also enjoyed their English breakfast as it was the only hotel in my trip that offered non pork (chicken and vegan) sausages. Cons - not comparable to quality and comfort of any other Holiday Inn I have stayed at. Bed mattress was hard and pillows were all flat and hard.

Horrible Experience.
The staff at the hotel is extremely rude and disrespectful. One of the managerial staff at the restaurant kept arguing without reason publicly. I have never experienced such a behavior from a hotel staff. The action of the management seemed cosmetic. There is no coordination between teams. Also we booked a family room where the air conditioning was not working and no one bothered to tell us. This hotel is definitely not the right place to stay in. Guys even if you have to spend little bit more money do try other hotels.

When I initially saw negative review..I figured they were a gross exaggeration..as after all its a Holiday Inn! The reviews were 100% correct! This place is the pits! My room was dark, dank and very depressing! Also..theres only 1 elevator for the whole hotel..so one can be waiting all the time for the lift. Hotel staff like to say refurbishments are on the way..as if to placate folks..but this didnt help my stay there and then!!! The ONLY good thing..is the location..which is perfect for shopping in the West End

This hotel was truly disappointing..room cleaning the worst I have seen in my life in any hotel in the world !! The 5 nights there horrible room cleaning by the two women ( they dont clean properly)also they need to put do not disturb signs in the rooms as they come to your room while on vacation and knock on your door every 10-15 minutes horrible ..then we get a knock on pour door at 1 am when we open the door it’s an employee claiming we are Making noise I don’t even know what noise this man spoke of!! Then to top it off they charged me 2 times for the same stay ..still as of today I have not received my refund !! I cannot recommend this hotel To anyone I know ! The girls at reception were the best thing at the hotel they kept a smile and tried to assist ..rooms needs to upgrade to charge 316 pounds on nights ! Location is not bad that’s the plus but the hotel has much to do to move forward ..Good and honest comments

The location, staff and cleanliness of the hotel was excellent. The only faults If i was very critical would be the noise of the underground (and we were on the third floor) and at breakfast both mornings we stayed was not stocked regular causing limited choice for cooked items. On the whole we had a very nice stay and would recommend.
