Overpriced and noxious chemical smells in the roomPosted Sep 24, 2015
K West wasn't a nice hotel. It isn't posh or trendy. It's just tired. We checked into a really terrible chemical/mold smell in our room. The front desk's solution? To spray more chemicals to cover up the chemicals that were already practically choking us. I demanded a new room. Their response? We're full. I called around to several other hotels but they were booked. I grudgingly stayed but will never go back.

Great location, Nice HotelPosted Sep 8, 2015
Pros: The rooms are clean. The beds are comfortable. Rooms come with tablets. The location is my favorite thing about the hotel.
Cons: Hotel staff should knock and wait for a response before entering a room. Facial towels should be replaced every day. Local calls should be free.
Location: Shepherd's Bush and Shepherd's Bush Market underground stations are in walking distance. Westfield London is a big mall close by.
The K West is overall a nice place despite a few quirks. The location is the best feature. It's in walking distance of the Spepherd's Bush and Shepherd's Bush Market tube stations. It is also near the Westfield London, a big shopping mall. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. Rooms are equipped with TVs, tablets and WiFi. On two occasions hotel staff came into my room without knocking. I also overheard another visitor asking them to knock and wait for a response before entering a room. It's pretty weird that they wouldn't know that already. They charge outrageous fees for locals calls. And they would clean the room and replace all of the towels except for facial towels. I would call and ask for more facial towels, only to be told they didn't have any clean ones. On the last day of my stay they brought four of them. It would have been more helpful if they just brought one every day.

Friendly and felt "the place to be".Posted Sep 6, 2015
Pros: Trendy vibe and large room with i pad and sofa as well as the normal facilities. Sound proof rooms and ceiling to floor black out curtains.
Cons: More staff at check out, maybe auto checkout machines. Notices up on fire doors along long corridors reminding guests to be quiet.
Location: Great location near Shep Bush station. We walked to a Cafe Continental opposite West Kensington tube station for breakfast def worth 20 min walk.
Good, only 2 issues: we got a large double room when we prefer and ask for twin beds and my CD got jammed in the CD player. With the former we decided just to remain in the room as it was so nice and we couldn't be bothered to move. With the latter a maintenance man sorted it quickly. Check out seemed to take a bit too long, due to a queue and only few fully trained staff. Few noisy guests one night going by bedroom door. However these issues did not effect the enjoyment of our stay. Hotel has later than usual check outs and late breakfasts. So promotes long lie ins in the sound proof rooms. Heaven. Bar was rocking on Sat night but once in room did not hear a thing. We eat in local cafe for breakfast and out for dinner so unable to comment on food. Will definitely return.

Close to shopping but hotel is dated!Posted Sep 3, 2015
Not great at all, got to the first room and the TV was hanging off the wall (this was a K Suite best in the hotel), went to the second room also a K suite and the room smelt of meat/sweat/food which was disgusting! The hotel offered to downgrade us which we were not happy at all about, we missed our dinner reservation but the hotel recommended that we go out for dinner still think about what we would like to do and then come back and decide what room we would like... how that makes sense I don't know but we definitely didn't go out anywhere as we didn't feel comfortable! We ended up having to wait an hour for the room to be RE-cleaned! Dirty, dated, awful staff who didn't really understand me... I speak English, I'm from England, I am English... Staff was foreign and didn't understand me. Not the staffs fault, hotels for being so cheap!

Fifth VisitPosted Sep 3, 2015
Pros: The quiet was very welcome after the noise and bustle of the city. We enjoyed spending a relaxing evening there.
Cons: There used to be carmelized biscuits on the coffee tray. This time they had some cappuccino rolls which didn't appeal to me.
Location: Holland Park and Shepherd's Bush Market are within walking distance. The Portobello Market is only a short tube ride away.
This was the fifth time I've stayed at this hotel and have never been disappointed. The rooms are large, the beds are comfortable, and the bath tub is large enough to wallow. There was a train line visible out the window but we heard barely a whoosh when the trains passed. I expect to be back next year.

Nice hotel in a good location with excellent proximity to Westfield Shopping Centre and Shepherds Bush tube station. We stayed on the bank holiday weekend when Notting Hill Carnival was on and it was walking distance to and from the event. Great bar during the day and at night. Didn't use ant of the other facilities within the hotel.

K Suite is a good sizePosted Aug 25, 2015
Pros: Location, space in room. Good sized bed
Cons: cost of spa facility
I booked into this hotel as an anniversary treat for my husband. We were happy with the location which, while being a little way out of central London, is very close to a Central Line tube stop. Check in was friendly and efficient and we were delighted with the free upgrade to a K Suite which was very spacious and well designed. We also really loved the anniversary card and chocolates that the staff had put in our room. The first night was not as peaceful as we would have liked, with loud music coming from a nearby room until about midnight but this was not a problem on the remaining two evenings. We were also a little disappointed that hotel guests have to pay £20 to use the hotel spa if not having a treatment over 60 minutes. Overall though, we were happy with our stay.

Style, comfort, great hospitality & spaPosted Aug 24, 2015
Pros: Convenient location, comfortable and lovely spa. Nothing was any hassle.
Cons: The fridge wasn't cold in the slightest. Ice machines helped with cooling our drinks though.
Location: Spa, Westfield mall and surrounding bars & restaurants. Bills in particular is a nice place to eat and opens at 8 for a good choice of breakfasts.
Had a lovely stay with my sister. Our room was clean, comfortable and had everything we could need. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room service was quick and tasted fantastic (pizza). Quiet location despite its close proximity to the tube & Westfield. All in all a great stay.
