we arrived on the Tuesday left on the FridayPosted Aug 30, 2015
Pros: Concierge very helpfull.
Location: Location is a bit far out to go anywhere took quite some time due to traffic.Harrods we found to be a fifteen minute walk through Hyde Park quite easy
we had a good experience apart from a mix up when we went for breakfast we signed our bill only to find the next day we were asked to go to reception regarding this to be told we were not required to do anything. we then received a letter asking us to go to reception which we did and gave details of our visa card, we were not asked for this when we arrived. We then received a phone call only half way through this conversation someone interrupted to say there was no problem. Our friends who were staying in a superior room were disappointed to see that the only difference between the rooms were they were on the 17th and we were on the 10th.

Awesome locationPosted Aug 27, 2015
Lancaster London was a great hotel. Aside from a half hour delay as they hadn't readied our room yet, it was in a wonderful location across from Hyde Park, 10 minute walk to Queensway and bayswater and a 2 minute walk to the Lancaster gate underground stop. Quiet and roomy. The room also had a fridge which was a plus and had an assortment of plugs for travellers which made it easier for phones etc to get charged. Would highly recommend and would stay here again.

An excellent choice in LondonPosted Aug 27, 2015
Location : perfect , 1 min to Lancaster Gate station, 2 mins to Hyde Park and 5 mins (5 pounds) to Paddington station from where we could take Hearthrow Express to airport in 15-20 mins. 20 mins on foot (or just 1-2 stations via Underground) to main shopping area like Oxford Circus , Regent Street Etc. Also near most tourist attractions. F&B: Their Thai restaurant is excellent - great food and great service (esp the manager) but 4 pounds (Hk$48) for a small bowl of Jasmine rice to serve with curry is gravely overpriced ; buffet breakfast at the Park is so so but acceptable. Quality okay though not much choices, a bit bored after having Breakfast there for 6 non-consecutive days Service: most staff incl. housekeeping , front desk and restaurant staff are very friendly; the young gentlemen in Business Center is most sincere and helpful; only encountered a few who are relatively less approachable; service at reception and housekeeping could be improved . Others: Prior request for connecting room was well arranged. The hotel prepared colourfull balloons, red wine, birthday card and birthday cake on our date of arrival for my daughter's coming birthday which bought us surprises. In the evening before we checked out they prepared another card with warm messages and a very delicious coffee cake in our room again! It all shows the hotel's thoughtfulness on each guest. Don't forget to register to be a friend of Lancaster which enable you to get 10% discount on F&B

Overpriced hotel across from Hyde parkPosted Aug 24, 2015
Pros: We used Paddington station for a day train trip so it was close. The concierge, Sandra, was very helpful. Lancaster tube station around the corner.
The room booked was a double twin, on the small size. Room was on the 3rd floor overlooking a parking lot, cost was roughly $700 Canadian for two nights, no breakfast included. Very busy street just off of Bayswater, you could not cross the street unless you went to a controlled intersection, traffic very busy. Not much by way of stores or restaurants immediately nearby but if you walked closer to Paddington Station there were places to go. I thought the lobby was somewhat sparse, some chairs but they were always occupied it seemed. I have stayed in other locations with nicer amenities and breakfast was included for the price we paid. Something a little further east might have worked better, closer to stores, pubs, restaurants.

ロンドン市内へのアクセスの良いコストパフォーマンスが高いホテルPosted Aug 15, 2015

Great location in LondonPosted Aug 14, 2015
Pros: It just has a nice feel about it and the staff were friendly!
Cons: Construction is underway at hotel so no comment until it is completed
Location: Kensington Gardens is only a short walks away ..... We highly recommend you walk in the gardens and also walk to Portobello Road for the markets etc.
We enjoyed our stay I London and would definitely come back to the Lancaster, when we travel to the UK next.

Experience for recent stayPosted Aug 6, 2015
Pros: Room comfort, cleanliness and access to transportation, pubs, etc.
Cons: We found that the knowledge of the concierge staff could be somewhat improved. We were given incorrect location information a couple of times.
We have stayed at the Lancaster previously because of the room comfort, cleanliness and convenience of the hotel to tube stops, bus stops, etc. We found it as enjoyable and pleasant as it had been in previous years. When we hear that friends are traveling to London, we always recommend this hotel. We had a wonderful stay and will stay at the Lancaster again when we make a trip to London.
