Right at the City Centre's Edge. Perfect Hotel.

Pros: Everything!
Cons: Make sure that the cashews in the mini-bar are really salted.
Location: It is the city centre, that should give you some idea of what to do in the area.
I wanted to see if a five star hotel was worth the money. And, the Montcalm at the Brewery did not disappoint. I see why people pay for five star hotels. You absolutely will get what you pay for. I booked this room, initially, through Expedia. I was given an upgrade room because of mobility issues. Lovely, lovely room. I ended up in the Montcalm Club Room. From the state of the art lighting to the two shower heads, everything is done just right. That bed was the best bed I have slept in from any hotel I have ever visited. It was massive and comfortable. The area is perfect. Just outside of the City Centre. I was able to grab coffee & a pastry across the street. I was able to watch a movie across the street. The Barbican is right across the street. The hotel is close to all sorts of transport. It was quiet & peaceful & I enjoyed every minute of it. The staff--second to none. From the moment my cab pulled up, I understood what five stars meant. I did not have to touch my luggage until I was in my room. Just exceptional. If you want it or need it & they can get it for you, they will. Just Ask. I enjoyed my stay so much that I booked a weekend in August on their site. No more Expedia. (It is not worth the headache). This is one thing, however, that Expedia got right. I was blessed with one of the best hotels in London. Book The Room, you will be glad that you did. (Oh, after you have settled in the room, someone comes by & checks that you are okay). Truly Top Notch!!!

City of London

Posted Jun 13, 2016
Pros:
Cons:

Fab hotel

The hotel was lovely, loved the elemis little extras. There was no complimentary water tho but other bits like fruit, slippers and bathrobe to borrow. There was a matter we had to sort when we arrived and the hotel addressed this immediately. Would definately recommend

Lovely stuff & noisy as helicopter room

Posted Jun 7, 2016 on Hotels
Hotel is hude, we were unlucky to be placed in a room next to large air-cons on top of the building that make grinding noise during the night, that makes you feel like flying in a helicopter(free attraction). Staff, were very nice and offered another room which was much quieter and did not exhibit such attractions. Not sure, how anyone could live in such a room..

Second séjour dans cet hôtel

Posted Apr 7, 2016 on Hotels
A revoir.

Check in lesson

To check it you have to visit the main hotel's reception. It's not far, just inconvenient when you arrive at the place you've actually booked to be told to go over the road with your bags. And then back 3 minutes later.
