A decent, basic hotel.Posted Sep 21, 2015
Nice basic hotel, quite close to the centre of London with only a 20 minute walk. Ideal to stay here for a weekend. Facilities were clean and basic, however was a little bit noisy as you could hear others around you.

Outdated college dormPosted Jul 11, 2015
Location: You can walk to Hyde Park, but everything else requires a taxi or metro ride. The neighborhood is filthy and noisy.
I got one night stay in July as a result of a blind discount reservation from Expedia. The hotel is not quite walkable from any metro stations unless you have a healthy habit of long walk. The building is very old and outfitted to be a hotel long time ago. No elevator, and the stairs get steeper and narrower as you go up. The room was reasonably clean, but the bed was so old and caved in. It's like an old college dorm. Small and stuffy, no air. We had to open the door to get some breeze. The building was designed to keep the heat, the room was so hot in July. Fresh towel refill, internet connection, luggage holding, everything will cost you an extra pound or few. The front person was nice. The breakfast was a cheap affair but at least starts early, convenient for a traveling person to get it done with. It is a typical "you get what you paid for" room.

Bad hotel close to Paddington St and Hyde ParkPosted Jul 10, 2015
Pros: the closeness to Kensington/Hyde Park and Paddington Station
Location: visit Kensington/Hyde Park
The unfriendly staff, in combination with the super steep stairs and the tiniest bathroom with cold water to shower made the stay somewhat sub-optimal. If London was not such great city, nobody would travel there with such catastrophic and expensive hotels. Leaving my bag there in the living room before check-in and after check-out made me feel very uncomfortable as nobody looked after it. Every guest can just walk in and take what they need...
