Declining value for money.

Posted Jan 17, 2017
This was my third stay. The hotel is overdue a refurbishment. During the weekend many public areas, even hallways had an education / teacher recruitment activity using common space and made the stay uncomfortable at times. I like the location but will not return until the rooms are upgraded.

This hotel tried hard

Posted Jan 12, 2017
We stayed at this hotel for two full weeks. Great Location right next to Glouster tube station and walking distances to great restaurants, stores and the museums of Natural History and Victoria and Albert. They upgraded us from the 3rd to 4th floor because the safe, lamp, wifi and TV were not working in the 3rd floor room. The maintenance suggested we ask for another room. Our room on the fourth floor was fine. The furniture was dated and worn but the beds were comfortable. The kettle leaked all over the dresser when you tried to use it. The wifi and TV seem connected and we were not able to rely on either our entire trip. If you need wifi look into providing your own. I got a great data plan from Tesco. Back to the hotel, for some reason the fire alarms went off almost every morning. I am not sure why but noticed everyone largely ignored them so we did too. Your bed will be made but dirty glasses etc will not be replaced unless you actually turn off the Do Not Disturb button AND put the Please Make Up Room sign on your door. Overall the staff were friendly but the hotel needs a little attention. It's first priority ( and they admitted to us they are aware and working on the issue) is upgrading their wifi and TV system. You will not be able to use either effectively.

Thank you for the feedback about your experience. The hotel is indeed convenient to get to and in a great location to visit all the sites of this wonderful city. Located right next door to the Gloucester Road Underground (Tube) station with access to the Piccadilly, District and Circle Lines. We are lucky to have one of the hardest working hotel teams around and it is nice to know their hard work is paying off. Once again on behalf of my entire team thank you for acknowledging their hard work and your experience. ‘Happy Travels’.

Great location but hotel a bit old and tatty

Posted Jan 2, 2017
Pros: Location!!!
Cons: The hotel can do with a "facelift", it's a bit tatty.
Location: Coffee shops, restaurants, supermarket, the Tube, and easy to walk to all major sites.
The hotel was somewhat old and the fixtures show it, can do with a remodel. Location was fantastic, however we did request to move rooms, due to noise coming from the casino outside.

Great location to tube station.

The hotel is showing its age. First room the TV didn't work, second room the heating was broken and final room, the door lock wouldn't work unless you put your key and turn the know as you were leaving. Breakfast was fine but wifi was VERY spotty even through they just upgraded it. Would I stay there again, yes because of the location.

Thank you for the feedback about your experience. We are still upgrading the Wi-fi and haven’t finished to work just yet! However, once complete in mid January this will resolve the issues with the wi-fi and televisions. We hope to see you again for an improved stay. ‘Happy Travels’.

Pros: Location good, staff friendly, good size rooms and comfy beds. Plenty of clean towels and room service good every day over Christmas!
Cons: Room in need of some updating, internet bit intermittent at times!
Location: Tube station just round the corner, good restaurants nearby and local shops.
Christmas weekend break, peaceful and friendly hotel.

Nice hotel next to tube station

Posted Dec 27, 2016
Cons: The lobby (although very classy) smelled of overly strong perfume every time we walked through. Not sure if this was the staff or guests
Very pleased with this hotel. The room was spacious, had all the amenities such as coffee/tea maker, wifi, nice bathroom. The location was great, a half block from Gloucester Road tube station, and quite a few eateries in the neighborhood.. Also was not too far out, we walked to the Natural History Museum and V and A.

Great Hotel in Good location

Posted Dec 24, 2016
Pros: Location, size of room
Cons: WiFI; working windows
Very nice hotel, across from Tube station. Very reasonable price considering London, and the area around the hotel was quaint, with good restaurants and access to great shopping nearby without having to obtain transportation. They were working on the WIFI during our stay, so we had very poor service during the two days we stayed there - if this is important to you suggest you call hotel before booking. The only other small issue was no working window in the room - don't know if this pertains to all rooms or was just ours, but it gets stuffy when there's no way to ventilate the room (even in December). Overall we were pleased with the room given the price.
