Good hotel with easy access to LondonPosted Oct 5, 2015
Pros: The staff were fantastic, it was nice that the rooms had dedicated showers (and not a shower over the bath)
Location: The location was good in that it was quick to get into London but nice not to have to stay in the hustle and bustle.
The hotel was fine, good amenities and nice restaurant. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. My major complaint is that the area is a little isolated with only a handful of restaurants nearby and the ExCel stadium was fenced off during our stay so we could not use the Customs House DLR Station.

Buona albergo in ottima posizionePosted Sep 30, 2015

Want more space to write my review!!!Posted Sep 29, 2015
Pros: The Bar was open late. There was a 24 hour menu to order from for those late nights! Bar staff in the AM knew our order! Thanks Teodora!
Cons: The room was a bit stuffy- not a big deal- opened the window and was comfortable all night
Location: Take advantage of the oyster card prices for the Emirates Air line and take advantage of the Thames Clipper for another perspective of London
First and foremost, if you plan to stay here, make the effort to fly into London City airport as it is very close by. With that said, I truly enjoyed my stay here. I stayed for 6 nights and it was a nice, comfortable, and accessible stay. I initially booked my flight into London Heathrow and then booked this hotel. I was apprehensive at first because it was not centrally located- so my travel on the Tube/DLR was about 45 minutes to an hour from the airport. To my surprise the distance from the hustle and bustle of a central London stay was not missed as it was nice to come 'home' to a quiet place. And the route from the airport was as follows: Heathrow to the Piccadilly Line get off on Green Park Tube station to get on the Jubilee line - get off on Canning Town and get on the DLR line to Custom house and the hotel is a short walk from there. However, when we first attempted to leave the Custom House station to walk to the hotel we were told by security that we would have to go back the opposite way on the DLR and get off at the next stop of Royal Victoria. I am not sure where I read about getting off on Custom House but I would advise to just use Royal Victoria instead. As this was strange it was not a big deal, from Royal Victoria we were about a 5 minute walk to the hotel. It was convenient because there is a Tesco on the way where we would stop for drinks and snacks for the room. We ended up getting off on Royal Victoria every time after that.

London weekendPosted Sep 28, 2015
Pros: Spacious & modern
Cons: Staff could be friendlier - rather impersonal.
Location: Nice area, "Emirates airline" nearby, close to O2, nice restaurants, FLAT walking!
Best hotel we've used in London - big fluffy towels, products, twin 3 quarter beds, even free bottled water in the fridge! It's about 20 minutes on the DLR to Tower Hill then onto the tube and London's your Oyster (card!) Will definitely stay here again if we can get the same room rate - £85 a night. We didn't have breakfast due to the price and poor reviews, there's a café round the corner - 5 minutes walk away. Nice area on the London Victoria dock, but don't get off the DLR @ Excel as instructed by the hotel website, you wont be able to leave the station if there's an event on. We had to get the train back and get off @ the next stop - annoying.

Pros: Its professionalism
Location: View of the O2 and the Emirates Air Rail.
Everything about the hotel is professional, from the calm check in staff to the beautifully prepared rooms and breakfast. We only had a short stay but would have be happy to stay again.

funzionalePosted Sep 26, 2015
