Nice hotel, close to the Paddington tube station.

Posted Aug 17, 2015
I stayed 7 nights in the hotel. Rooms are small but airy, natural lighting and hotel is on a quiet zone. Room has air conditioning (for summer) and heating for winter. A tea and coffee maker and free Wi-Fi. Small gestures like a bite of cookies every day in the room are a welcome addition.

Ripoff!

Posted Jul 27, 2015
We prepaid this hotel! Upon arrival the named guest was forced to switch to a different credit card or pay cash, both of which he was mystified as to why there was any problem! He was told that the prepaid charges would be reversed! I suspect that this is a bait and switch! Not happy at all, beware of this hotel!

Strangely persistent and intrusive cleaning staff

Posted Jul 14, 2015
Cons: The privacy concern mentioned above. Ventilation so that the restaurant smells aren't overwhelming.
Location: 5 minute walk to Paddington Station. 7 minute walk to Lancaster Gate Station. On a nice street with big beautiful trees.
As others have noted, the single rooms are especially small. And it's hard to sleep if you have noisy neighbors in the adjacent rooms who don't take care how they close their doors, not only because the walls are thin but because the hotel doors slam shut every time someone comes and goes. The strangest drawback of staying here was that despite putting out the "Please Do Not Disturb" sign, the cleaning person waltzed in unannounced on TWO separate occasions and pretty much insisted on cleaning my room despite my protests and hand gestures saying "No, please. Not today." I wanted some privacy to do a little writing in the mornings before touring around, and this was not to be had. I actually felt kind of like it was an outright violation of my privacy since she entered my room unannounced.

Everything requested was sorted with ease and could even get into our room early in the morning. Super and would stay again.

Reception not good enough

Posted Jul 1, 2015
Reception.not experienced, even doesnt know what she is talking about. Besides,I asked for adaptor, they promised to keep one for me once returned by other tenants but never realized. Rooms are very crowded.

Good location, Bad Value

Posted Jul 1, 2015
When checking in we were initially given room 805 which is on the ground floor directly next to reception. Although the room was nice we asked to move as the noise from reception and main road outside filtered through to our room. The staff were very friendly and kindly moved us to another room on the first floor. Although this room was ok, it was very small and dated. Considering the price of the room I was very disappointed with our stay. £192 for bed only is not what I call value for money.

Cute hotel, wonderful staff

Posted Jun 15, 2015
Pros: Shower pressure and lots of hot water
Cons: A few more towels.
I really enjoyed my stay at this adorable boutique hotel. The staff was extra friendly and accommodating, not something you often find in European hotels. The room was tiny and cute, very clean. I'm pretty petite so the tight space worked for me, a larger solo traveler might feel cramped though, but this is pretty standard for Central London if you want an affordable place. Recommend and would stay there again.

barely acceptable for overnight stay

Posted Jun 7, 2015
Pros: Location.
Cons: Just about everything.
Location: Convenient to Paddington station.
Stayed there three nights after arriving from Australia. Reception and bar staff on the afternoon we booked in not very welcoming, although other staff during our stay were friendly and helpful. Saggy mattress and poky room, even by London standards. Difficult to get in and out of bed from one side. Not enough space in the room for two large suitcases and very little storage space if you want to unpack them. Hotel bar uninviting. Subsequently realised there is another hotel nearby in Paddington with almost the same name, which is the one I meant to book. Very confusing!
