Quiet, clean, comfortable. Recommend.

Pros: I loved how clean and quiet it was. The bed was large, comfortable, clean white unscented linen, and the room was silent. I slept beautifully.
Cons: Powerpoints on either side of the bed would be helpful. I arrived with my phone battery at 4% and had to leave in the morning, so needed to charge it.
Location: Half an hour's drive from Central London including traffic, very easy to get to and to find. Quiet - easy to sleep. Very impressed.
I was in desperate need of sleep, and booked this last minute with little research. I hadn't realised it was just off a motorway, and was a little concerned driving up both thinking of traffic noise and air quality/pollution. I was very pleasantly surprised. Staff were lovely and very personable, the room was immaculate, I had a wonderful shower and the best night's sleep I've had in a long time. It was silent indoors (I stay in hotels frequently, and this was quieter than many - I heard only occasional door closes, and they were far more muted than in other places). The bed was very comfortable, perfectly clean, lovely white linen with no scent (I'm allergic to fabric softener, so airbnb isn't an option for me). I wouldn't have known I was 100m from a motorway. I must say, I would highly recommend it. It was extremely convenient and easy to get to, half an hour's drive from Central London, large comfortable room and bed, great bathroom, everything was spotless and no issues at all. Just sleep. The only thing to note, and it's not necessarily a disadvantage, is that there were no power points next to the bed on either side - not that it's a good idea to sleep next to a charging phone anyway health-wise. They're near the end of the bed on the opposite wall. I just left my phone charging there, and it was fine. Overall, very pleased. Thank you.

Disappointing service

Posted Jun 3, 2018
On arrival lady on reception had obviously had a tiring day and was not going to make too much effort to hide it. I had a problem with my bath and call down for assistance. Was told duty manager on his way but did not see him until I checked out. He offered a free breakfast to make up for bathroom, but I had to leave. He said he would email, that was 4 days ago; have not received anything since.

Staff was very helpful and pleasant when I arrived. Hotel is lovely and room is nice. The only room available was on the ground floor and was disabled. It was very noisy so couldn’t sleep very well plus the lady at reception said there was WiFi but I couldn’t connect to the internet at all. There was also a metal plate behind the bed which I managed to hurt my head on when going to bed. Other then that I would stay again hopeing would be in a more comfy room and no so much noise.

Pros: location is great
Cons: cleanliness
Location: spot on the M1.. perfect
conditions going down, room not cleaned to well and bed uncomfortable. It's a shame as this was a nice hotel a couple years ago.
