The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and the shared bathroom was clean. The website reflects what the place is, reasonable value for money, clean and tidy. I would stay again.

I normally stay at big hotels, but this place is a little charm. The staff are friendly, and helpful with whatever questions you have. There’s a shared bathroom for each floor, but it’s a good size and it’s very clean. I’d definitely stay here again.

Decent for an unplanned one night stay
Last minute booking due to cancelled Eurostar and was perfectly comfortable. Really good location and not noisy at all given how central it is. Friendly staff and comfortable family room. Bathroom could have been a bit cleaner and the double bed wasn't a proper double, however

It's okay for a small stay, but I wouldn't recommend it if you're planning to stay for a while. The area is well connected with public transport and there's many breakfast options around, which makes it good for a short city trip. We had a room with shared bathroom and while they have a lot of bathrooms available that were never occupied, it's not very comfortable.

Useful locaiton and v comfy bed!
The hotel didn't claim to be a 5 star luxury spa, but is a little outdated, although everywhere was immaculately clean, the welcome was very warm, and the matress was about the best I've slept in - in ANY hotel. Oh, and have a good look aroiund the reception area as you wait - very interesting ornaments! No lift, and lots of stairs, so not accessible above ground floor rooms - check which yours is!

This hotel is not doing honest business. There was a giant spider strolling on the carpet, which made me sleepless all night. This hotel should be banned from Expedia.

I wish I can give a zero star. To say the least, this hotel is not doing honest business. They claim they have shared bathroom for the room, however the fine print actually means you have to share the bathroom with the whole floor. I booked the hotel 11/17-11/19, then I read the fine print and realized what the shared bath room means. So I requested cancel the booking, and they refused to cancel and refused to refund since I chose non-refundable. I asked Expedia to help but Expedia did not resolve the issue for me either. I did not check in for this booking and lost a few hundred dollars. Do not book this hotel, you have been warned. I will never use expedia again.

To say we are "not doing honest business" is not a fair comment. We received a message from Expedia asking if the guest could upgrade their room and I sent the following email directly to the guest: "We can upgrade you to a room with a private bathroom for those dates at an extra cost of 35 per night (total 70). Let me know if you would like to take this option. Kind regards,". The guest declined to take this option and did not arrive.

Not worth for money
there is no bathroom inside the room and be shared with other and it does not mention before we make the booking. The price we paid is not worth to have this room.

The checkin was efficient and friendly, with good banter from the reception staff, who showed a genuine interest in our journey. The reception was curiously decorated with an assortment of exotic, interns trinkets which I enjoyed but could imagine may divide opinion. We were shown to our room which was small but warm, very clean and comfortable though basic (this was reflected in the price). The bathroom and other shared common areas were clean and easy to access; I never had to wait for a shower or the loo.

I always try to stay here when I’m in London because the location is close to Euston Station and the prices are more than reasonable. The rooms are quite quirky and there are certainly no frills but I’m usually only after a bed to sleep in so this suits me down to the ground. Finally I must mention the staff who are fantastic and really make you feel welcome.
