Very nice and well managed hotel in a good location. We booked a double room and were surprised to have a room with a very narrow double bed: too small for 2 people. We had to pay GBP50 per night (a discounted rate we were told) to upgrade to a room with a queen size bed and were not offered a free upgrade.

Every single thing about our stay was perfection. The attention to detail in all areas was incredible. The entire staff is so welcoming- from the front desk, to the bar, to breakfast. We will be back!

Lovely hotel but didn’t meet high expectations
We arrived early for check in, our room was not available but the staff were friendly and we had a relaxing drink in the lounge before heading out to check in on our return. Our queen room was decorated beautifully, though the bathroom felt cramped. The shower was frustrating as it’s above the bath and not high enough- I had to duck to get fully under. The bed was adequate but not comfortable, too many people may have sat on the side which meant the mattress felt sloped towards the edge when you lay on it. Unfortunately, our nights sleep was compromised as the rooms heating system was faulty, the room was set at 20C but got hotter and hotter, waking us up in sweats in the middle of the night. Not what you expect in January. When I reported this to reception they didn’t appear to care, I’d already paid upfront and was checking out that day. The hotels location is fantastic for Knightsbridge, just far enough back off the main road to lose the traffic noise. Loads to see and do within easy walking distance. Maybe we were unlucky with our room, though for the amount paid we were left feeling disappointed.

I am pleased to hear that you encountered a warm and friendly welcome upon your early arrival to the hotel and that even though your room was not ready, our drawing room and bar area offered a comfortable and relaxing retreat whilst enjoying a drink. However, I am disappointed to hear that even though you found your appointed room to be beautifully decorated, you found the bathroom too small and the shower frustrating and too low. More importantly, I am genuinely sorry to hear that you experienced a uncomfortable and disrupted sleep due to the fluctuating room temperature and the issue you had with your mattress, which is truly regretful to say the least. In addition, I am also sorry if you perceived the initial response to your complaint as non-urgent and complacent which characteristically is not a response I would expect of any of my dedicated team who always pride themselves in going the extra mile to ensure the comfort and well-being of all of our guests. Overall, it pains me that you left the hotel on your departure date disappointed and perhaps felt that you have not received value for the money you have paid. Keeping all of the above issues in mind, I therefore kindly invite you to get in touch with me directly at the hotel if you wish to discuss your guest experience in more detail. The service was insanely good like being in a movie. The afternoon tea and canopes were outrageously good. Its nice when you pay for something expensive and actually get what you pay for. The opposite to the pervasive dubai/salt bae/balenciaga culture that is everywhere these days.

Ben, the Concierge, was so professional, friendly, cheerful, helpful and so informative upon check in, He was ready to answer any questions I had regarding traveling the train via Paddington station and assisting with making dinner reservations The hotel is quaint, beautifully decorated with Christmas decorations and the wam lit fireplace at the entry is such a cozy touch. I would highly recommend this boutique like hotel

I enjoyed staying at this hotel. This is a small charming boutique hotel. I felt comfortable and safe because the location is great and the staff was kind and warm. The Breakfast service is also good. Generally I had a good experience. I would like to stay at the Egerton House Hotel next time.

Every part of our stay exceeded expectations. The service especially was outstanding, and we found all the staff so helpful, accommodating, and thoughtful. When we checked out, we mentioned in passing that we would be in Oxford later in our trip. A few hours later, we were surprised to get a personal email from this staff member, who had previously lived in Oxford. She kindly shared some of her favorite spots to visit there, places we might otherwise miss. So thoughtful! And that was just one of several wonderful interactions with the Egerton staff. We’d stay there again in a heartbeat.

Excellent service from the moment we entered the hotel. Everyone at the front desk always made us feel welcome and comfortable like we were their only guest. The room was elegant, clean and cozy and we had everything we needed. Perfect location for shopping and sightseeing - the hotel is right across the street from the V&A museum with accessibility to all kinds of transportation.

Upon arrival, the property is elegantly beautifully displayed with gorgeous flower arrangements covering the entire entrance to the hotel. The lobby and drawing/dining room and bar is immaculate. The room stayed in is breath taking as you enter and spotless. The service by all employees is professionally top notch and completely helpful and polite. Highly recommended to anyone and most definitely will return!

The staff was impeccable from the moment we walked in to the moment we departed! The hotel is easily accessible to many main points of interest. It was quiet, very clean and they took even the smallest details and made them special. The homemade shortbread upon arrival to the ginger shot at breakfast to help give you a boost of energy before your day. My daughter and I loved every moment of our stay! We cannot recommend a better stay while visiting London!

We loved the Egerton. The front desk service was outstanding. Jacques helped with dinner reservations as well as theater tickets. We enjoyed high tea as well as the Egerton martinis. Just remember that the Egerton sip is followed by the Egerton slur 😊

The Egerton is the only place my family and I want to staying wherever we get the opportunity to come overseas to London. While it might be too small to have all the modern extras, most travelers expect or need, the staff alone make this the very best hotel in the city. Everyone~ all the kind housekeepers, every room service attendee and certainly all the front desk help, is truly unrivaled in their helpfulness, the sunny kindness and their unflinching attention to service. They always remember your name and never fail to smile and chat. For the 4th time in as many years, they have made our visit sop special. Thank you especially to Mustafa and Thomas who brought us the most scrumptious afternoon tea! We can't wait to return again soon. Cheers!

I can honestly say that this is a little gem of the smaller London Hotels! From the moment I stepped through the door to when my friend and I left ...service second to none ...friendly and lovely comfortable room! Just need to make the strawberry jam a bit thicker so it stays on my toast! A special thanks for my delicious French Toast on Friday morning! I will definately be back...Thank you

Luxurious in London
This was our second stay at Egerton. It’s a fantastic hotel with and extremely friendly and helpful staff. The neighborhood can’t be beaten, especially, if you are looking to get the most out of the posh neighborhoods of Knightsbridge and Chelsea. It’s also a short walk from about half the major tourist sites. We keep wanting to fly our dogs to London with us, just to take them to high tea - for dogs - at the hotel.

A gem in Knightsbridge
Great boutique hotel (28 rooms), quiet street, good location. Unfortunately, elevator was out a couple days, but they quickly moved us to a lower floor.

Wonderful staff that makes this hotel a great choice. It’s a Victorian townhouse so the decor is old English. Comfortable, well located 8 min walk to Harrods or Hyde park. Breakfast is really nice quality food.

Excellent boutique hotel in a great location. Have stayed here multiple times and love it. The staff is amazing, the bar (including food) is great, as are the breakfasts. The rooms are not huge but are well appointed. We will be back!!!
