The service is very personal as it’s a smaller hotel. The staff open the doors every time you walk in & greet you with a smile every morning before we left the hotel and again upon return. The concierge, Miko & I’m forgetting the Italian gentlemen’s name, were genuinely helpful & friendly to help us book a tour of Stonehenge, find an excellent Indian restaurant (Veeraswamy) & other tourist sites. The room was 215sq feet & very spacious for two friends. We loved the heated bathroom floors, heated towel rack, the lighting options, comfortable bed, closet space, the heating system, large windows that can open, umbrellas, daily water bottles, & the steam room downstairs. The bar made delicious drinks & a tasty charcuterie board @ 15% off thx to Expedia. The lovely tour of our room amenities was given by a young lady with long brown hair. She also made our stay very enjoyable. Location wise The Franklin is a 6-8min walk from 2 tube stations & the neighborhood is safe. We used the South Ken station frequently as it was next to bakeries & shops. At least 3 museums are side by side within a 10min walk from the hotel. Finally, it’s pretty clean minus a little buildup on the shower walls. There isn’t a washroom fan so that might be the cause. Otherwise, the room is extremely clean. The steam room downstairs has towels & water bottles. We used our super heavy & comfy robes & slippers to go to the steam room. I’d definitely recommend this hotel. No need to look elsewhere.
