Hotel In convenient location for walking to Hyde Park & Paddington. Hotel is in a nice old property and is eclectic inside. My room was small (as expected) so only able to accommodate a small child’s single bed not a normal single (not expected, was ok for me as I’m quite small but a average adult would be very cramped). The single pane window was drafty which wasn’t blocked by the thin curtain. Only small portable heater provided which wasn’t effective. Very thin bedding; had to ask for extra blanket (also thin) and was freezing cold all night even with my coat on top to try to warm up. No excuse for such poor bedding. Superfluous cushions in room of questionable cleanliness. The bathroom was pre-fab 70s thing - appreciated for private toilet but would never try to use the shower. Overall I appreciate the hotel offering a service in the lower price bracket and accept all the challenges of an older property, but the very thin bedding and consequently miserable cold night due to poor bedding is unacceptable when so easy to resolve.
This is probably the worst hotel ever stayed and beware we may not actually stay in the Pavillon which looks cozy but at an Annex which is the next door hotel. It was a surprise to me. on the other hand the location is good. But the room, very very small, almost like a little hole in the wall. Shower worked, but the decoration from the sad to the ridiculous
