The Royal Horseguards is centrally located. The Underground is only 1 block away and many pubs and restaurants 2-3 blocks.

Great hotel close to the heart of everything

Posted Feb 5, 2017
Pros: It was NOT a Marriott. Charming hotel with an old world feel.
Location: Heart of London.
From start to finish we really enjoyed our five day stay here. The staff was courteous and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. This hotel is perfectly situated to give you access to everything in the heart of London. Easy walking distance to many sites. We would highly recommend it.

Next best thing to Buckingham

Posted Jan 15, 2017
The hotel staff was incredible. The concierge helped us find a pub, the tea room hosts were friendly and talked to us for several minutes. The room had a tv in the shower, heated floors and a view of the river and London eye. It's the best night I've had in a hotel in a long time.

Lovely Hotel, Great Location

Posted Jan 8, 2017
Pros: The fantastic location.
Cons: The beds! Not very comfortable at all.
The hotel is in a fantastic location, right on the Embankment, which made for some spectacular views along the river. Didn't use the hotel facilities so can't really comment on them but the staff were all very helpful.

In the heart of London ,

Posted Jan 2, 2017
We loved it close to everything spent Christmas Day there had a beautiful dinner all decorated so Christmassy. Staff are so helpful, Rishi was so helpful helped us with tours , I would not recommend the hop on hope off buss as they take to long to get anywhere , save time take taxis , it will cost the same , we only used it once cost 64 pounds and went from St. Paul's. Cathedral , to Harrods , took 90 min. Anyway it's a beautiful hotel and a really good feeling stay at the royal horse guard, can walk to London eye , cruise on river Thames st Martin in the fields , Piccadilly , trafalgar Sq the theather, so many pubs , red lion is good in parliament rd, and the changing of the royal bourse gaurd, abbey is 10min walk just an great time all around

Pros: Location and Staff!
Cons: N/A
Location: Walking around is just great - along the embankment and in the park.
Great experience - the location is quite nice opposite the London Eye! Transport easily accessible and very close to city centre!

Good hotel, excellent location

Posted Dec 12, 2016
Pros: location, bar, staff
Cons: small maintenance issues.
Location: Great location, southbank, the Mall, West End...all within easy walking distance.
Nice hotel, good location. Staff very hospitable. The only spoiler for me were tiny things...but in a hotel of this class and price range, I honestly do not expect them. Things like the shower head being full of limescale of something so it jets off in all directions - including over you and outside the shower when you open the door to switch the shower on. And the carpet tim missing into the bathroom so the carpet grip and frayed carpet is exposed. Not that the rom wasn't well maintained - everything else was a very high standard - but when you expect a high standard the small thing stand out and let it down.

2nd Stay At The Royal Horseguards Hotel

Posted Dec 1, 2016
Pros: Everything
Cons: I found the hotel met all of mine and my wife's expectations.
Location: We toured the city, the London Eye, London Dungeons, the Bavarian Christmas Village across the river, took in the theater, shopping, and restaurants.
We had such a terrific time in September when we stayed at the Royal Horseguards Hotel, we decided to stay there again in Late November. This hotel has a great service staff. The food is terrific. The rooms are very luxurious and well planned out, and the hotel is prefect for catching the Underground and seeing many local sights. I will stay there often when I am in London, generally, because it has charm and character of the early 1900s luxury hotel with all the amenities you expect in a stylish 2016 hotel. My compliments to the hotel owners for caring about their customers interests when staying at the hotel.
