Beautiful hotel with spectacular lobby and dining

Love love The Savoy! Excellent service and the Edwardian rooms are beautiful. The only critique is that Wifi is very spotty with iPhones.

Central for London activities

Stayed here with my children for half term, was an absolute dream, wonderful building, staff so hospitable and pleasant! Building is just stunning so elegant. Perfectly placed for us for all of our half term activities. Thank you to all the staff that make up The Savoy.

70th BIRTHDAY / ST. VALENTINES TREAT

Cons: SOUND OF TRAFFIC FROM ROADWAY OUTSIDE (maybe triple glazing?)
Location: Short taxi ride to St. Martin's Theatre. Also to Tate Britain. Harrods.
I was amazed that Peter, the Doorman was at the Savoy back in 1979 when I had previously been at the hotel. Such a warm welcome back to The Savoy. Such helpful staff throughout our stay and quite a surprise to find little "Kaspar" sitting on my bed as a birthday gift when we returned from the Theatre. The food at Kaspars Restaurant was excellent and the waiters were all very polite and helpful. I now have many happy memories of my 70th birthday and would like to thank everyone at The Savoy for making this all possible.

Location: We went to the Shard viewing gallery daylight and nighttime and Tower Bridge Museum.
It was a delight to stay in Room 758 the evening of 12/13 January 2017. A lovely view out of the window and everything in the room fine. The evening butler that attended us was called Mihai. I have not dined in a hotel for 10 years due to fear of eating food with chicken's egg yoke in it. That changed on the evening of the 12th. A lunch of jacket potatoes, corn , Brussel sprouts was served in my room. It tasted delicious and I had every confidence that the hotel would try and reduce any risk of egg. The next day the butler James made coffee for my wife Sally using the machine in the room . She was chuffed to be served by James. Thank you.

Luxury Accommodations in excellent location

Pros: The staff, the architecture, and decor.
Location: The location is convenient for going to many of the theatres, restaurants, tourist attractions, and using the three close tube stations.
For our travels within London, The Savoy's location proved to be central for walking and taking the tube. The staff was exceptionally thoughtful to our needs as well as kind, dependable, and friendly. When our room had a problem with the heating system, the staff helped us move to another room, which we liked even more. Dining at Kaspars's and the Thames Foyer was superb, and our in-room breakfasts were terrific and arrived lickety-split. The only disappointment was dinner at Simpson's-in-the-Strand, which was so-so, compared to our other meals at the hotel. Finally, having a fourth night free was a beneficial perk.
