A hidden gemPosted Aug 31, 2015
Cons: All tables were full for dinner. We would have liked to dine in.
Location: A short walk to the Tate modern. ( 15-20 mins) and all the south bank activities. We went to eat nearby to "the fish market" that was very good.
from arrival to leaving this was an excellent experience. Accommodation, staff and facilities all good.

Nuit reposantePosted Aug 19, 2015 on Hotels

Checked in around 10:30, so missed out of the free welcome drink unfortunately! The room wasn't ready, as expected, however the hotel was happy to keep our bags whilst we went out for the day. Was a nice change to sit down at check-in! Free newspaper and bottled water delivered to the room. Only called reception once - for ice - and that was delivered promptly. Well stocked minibar. Nespresso machine with three coffee pods - the instructions were awful, but we got there in the end! Lovely bathroom with a large bath and walk-in shower. Big comfy bed. Room clean and quiet. Location was just a few minutes walk from Bank tube station, which was perfectly located for our visit. Although many of the bars/restaurants nearby are shut at weekends, there are some places still open and anyway, you've got the rest of London to visit! I would recommend this hotel, and would stay there again.

Threadneedles Autograph Marriott, a great locationPosted Jul 29, 2015 on Hotels
We had a lovely one night stay at the Threadneedles Autograph. The room was very clean, but in a couple of places it looked a tiny bit tired - bashed edges of furniture - which can't be helped, but is easy enough to touch up. The one big issue I had was that no matter how many lights there were turned on in the room, it was incredibly dark. We didn't get a chance to eat at the hotel, but did contemplate it. But we just couldn't justify £15 each for a sandwich, even if it is a nice London hotel. However, we'd be happy to return again as the location was great for what we needed.

Comfortable hotel in city locationPosted Jul 22, 2015
Pros: Stunning views of the City including St Pauls. Beautiful reception area. Comfortable bed.
Cons: Faster check-in with more helpful staff.
Location: Close to Bank station, Royal Exchange and Bank of England museum.
We were upgraded to a room with a balcony giving stunning views of the City including St Pauls. Check-in was slow and staff did not fully explain how to use the lift. The cups and milk were stored in an unexpected location away from the coffee making machine.

Nice Hotel, good service, you'll need a cab ride to get to the main tourist sites.
