Very nice elegant and quirky hotel

Posted Jun 23, 2017
Pros: Uniqueness
Cons: nothing, spacious room, lovely stay
Location: Stayed here to go to gig at London Stadium
Lovely hotel, beautiful old building with quirky distinctly British design. Even has beautiful resident house dog. If you want to stay somewhere nice but un-stuffy and unique, this is a great place.

Wonderful apartment hotel

Situated in the heart of Bethnal Green, the Town Hall is must for those wanting London vacation that is off the beaten track - exceptional restaurants and hotel service.

Impressively Different

Posted Apr 7, 2017
The hotel is like stepping back in time to a bygone era. The impressive Town Hall facade gives way to the entrance porch with oversized cast iron safe while entering in to the lobby brings quaint charm of 1960's town hall cubical clocks, 1950's TVs and impressive metallic reception desks. The rooms are filled with an eclectic mix of furniture - whilst clearly they've all had a life, everything is nicely restored and clean. Beds are comfy, showers are powerful and hot, the towels are fluffy. High ceilings and thick walls bring an air of spaciousness and calm for a sound sleep.

Hotel was good and staff very polite

Location for hotel suited where we were visiting. It is about 6 minutes walk to Bethnel Green underground (central line). Rooms well equipped with kitchen if required with dishwasher, oven, washing machine/dryer, and rooms large and modern.

Hotel in East London

Posted Mar 27, 2017
Pros: We had a wedding reception there, so lots of guests staying at hotel. The wedding reception was well organised.
Cons: The hotel need to be brought up to modern standards within the historical building.
Location: Museum of Childhood, which is free
The check in was very slow, could not get into our room for about 1 hour after check-in time. The room was alright, but there was no makeup mirror you expect. Also the shower leaked in the bathroom flooding the whole floor!! The duvets were too thick for this time of the year so you were too hot in bed. The breakfast facilities need up dating, don't like eating a cooked breakfast from a coffee table! This is not what I expect from a 5* hotel

Very unique lots of room all rooms are upstairs and no doors so not a lot of privacy good fir a family or college students traveling together. Not the best neighborhood.
