Fun hotel in the center of the city.

Posted May 30, 2017
This a fun hotel in the center of London. There is great access to the tube, dining, and nightlife. The onsite concierge is very helpful. Not recommended for families and children as the lobby is a nightclub most nights of the week.

Efficient trip in London

Posted May 21, 2017
Stayed st the w in may 2017. Location Leicester square is terrible if you are looking for a quiet place away from the tourist crowds (better stay at dukes or the ritz in st James or even in Knightsbridge area). Bad Our room was dirty (nail clippings and crumbs on the ground- no doubt from lrevious guests despite a 4 pm check in. Terrible designed closet. Nespresso machine but no espresso cups - drank coffee out of a tea mug?? Finally in the last day I just bought myself cups to minimize the pain. Room didn't make sense, couldn't navigate it well. Phone not working and despite someone saying they were going to fix it for the five days that I was there it was not fixed. I suspect that they are not managing the property well. Good The good thing was the spa had showers -so after a long overnightet from Canada this was fantastic Close to everything ie 10-15 pound cab ride anywhere virtually Excellent concierge (obtained hard to get show tickets, restaurant booking) Unbelievable gym - size, equipment view. I have never been in a better gym and I workout daily. Fantastic lounge /cocktail at on the main floor of the hotel. DJ etc. Excellent front door staff (one Spaniard actually bought us pods from Nespresso store)

Thank you for your comments, and for highlighting the pros and the areas of improvement you experienced during your stay with us. Rest assured I have congratulated Manuel (the welcome ambassador that made sure you got a selection of coffee pods in the room) as a reminder of what we do best. Also, your concerns regarding how the property is being managed have been shared with our management team, as your experience seems to be far of the standards we strive for here at W London. I also appreciate your feedback regarding the design of your room. W is a design lead brand and we can certainly appreciate that the layout of the room is not to everyone’s taste. I could recommend one of our Cool Corner rooms for a future stay with us. This is a larger room with a different configuration and a separate bathroom and working area, which may be more comfortable for your needs. Thank you for staying with us. Kind regards,

Great Hotel - A few warnings

Posted May 15, 2017
In terms of experience W does it right. I wanted to ensure for my first visit I would stay in a hotel I know would treat me great. The downfall with this hotel is the night time. Outside at night (Especially on weekends): The hotel staff at the door are great, they will usher you in right away. They are not really helpful when it comes to the people that are roaming around the streets. They need to do a better job at the ONSTREET activities that is happening around the actual building. They dont move cars or people that are either drunk or no good around the hotel. Insight the Hotel at night (Especially on weekends): Once you are in the hotel you are on your own which is terrifying at night. They dont have security staff helping guest deal with the drunk people in the elevators. Every time we tried going up to our room we had an incident. First time, people downstairs waiting to up are drunk terrifying us on the way up to the hotel room. The second time, on our way to to our floor (6th), someone pushed the up button on the first floor causing people on the first floor to think the elevator was going down. The young man proceeded to LEAP into the elevator and caused the hole thing to shake. My wife and I immediately got out of the elevators because there was no way we wanted them to go up to our floor. We had to wait for another elevator to go up, and I was forced to block people from getting into the lift with us to ensure our safety - not cool.

Hello Bryan, Thank you very much for your feedback.I am very sorry to hear that your experience with us in London was overshadowed by all that you encountered.3. Our location is in the heart of London with China Town, the Entertainment District and Soho’s nightlife on our doorstep. This also reflects the inside of the hotel with a buzzing night life scene and our popular destination bars Room 913 and W Lounge. Particularly on weekends we are well visited by both hotel guests and external guests alike, who generally have a great time. We are however really sorry that you found this is a nuisance and rest assured I am sharing your feedback with our Security Manager as an area of improvement. Thank you for staying with us,

Great location, modern hotel

Posted Apr 8, 2017
Pros: Excellent service. Modern facilities.
Cons: A little more lighting in the corridors.
Location: Close to theatre - cross the road and you at Book of Mormon ! Step out of the hotel and you are instantly in the buzz of London at Liecester Square
Walking distance to many of London's best attractions, and also close to businesses in Piccadilly and The Strand. Great Tube access. Unique room styling, but that's refreshing - the hotel has a light, modern feel - much better than the creaky old hotels in London.

West End London W Hotel no better than W Mid Town

Posted Mar 15, 2017
Ridiculous hotel which relies on its location alone. Worst hotel I've stayed in in 2017 and one of the most expensive.

A luxury gem in the middle of London

Posted Mar 3, 2017
Pros: The atmosphere, the staff, the location, the service.
Cons: No coffee or tea machine in the room surprised me; it is quite unusual for a five stars hotel for not having it.
Location: The hotel is between Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square station. Coven garden and Oxford St are accessible by feet very easily.
The hotel benefits from an incredible location, close to all the majors' stores, theaters, and places. The internal design is aligned with the brand and their staff is very helpful and polite. The room condition was good, clean and well sound isolated from the outside.

Great staff but over rated

Posted Mar 2, 2017
Pros: Staff were great
Cons: The cost
Location: Good location for all aspects of London
A very nice stylish hotel but at nearly £400.00 a night, its price out weighs its real appeal.
