For anyone who is truly interested in the history of Derry, you could not have a better location. The staff were extremely helpful and great to converse with. When we have occasion to return, The Abbey is our choice. We will recommend it highly to out friends and family who care about Ireland and Derry.

Very basic room. Bathrooms could use a good clean. Street very busy during the day/afternoon but fine overnight.

Seamus and Helen are great people and extremely nice and hospitable owners. Ellie is wonderful as well. We enjoyed our stay here and felt like family. Their location is very much in the center of Derry.

Nice place to stay. We truly enjoyed the breakfast and the access to “the kettle” all day long. Seamus, Ellie and Helen were excellent hosts.

Great Location for History
Everyone was friendly and the place was very clean! It is right near the Free Derry sign and not very far from the walls, food, or pubs.

Lovely stay, warm welcome and a very comfortable room with delicious breakfast in the morning. Seamus greeted us and gave us some great recommendations for the area. It’s in a great spot, easy to walk around from there.

Great location and much to see in the neighborhood. The Free Derry walk tour met up from block from hotel. Friendly staff and a good breakfast.

Parking was an issue as it is on street parking so in the middle of the day it was crowded.One of the back doors could not be locked so we piled boxes against it.The bathroom that we had had a coating on the window so we could not see out so if you were on the deck youcould see in.It was in a good location close to city centre.Our friends had a room and one of the glass shower doors was missing so ended up with a wet floor.

Lovely property! We met some travellers who had been staying at the Abbey for several years and it holds value to their family. They were able to advise us of some of their recommendations of the area! Check in was easy and the staff were pleasant! Breakfast was included and delicious! Accommodated my vegan husband and the space was very quaint! Our first experience in Derry was lovely! Best BnB I’ve stayed in in a long time!

I don't think there was hot water. When I tried to turn it on in both the sink and the shower, there was no hot water. There was no one on the property to help (I did have a phone # but I didn't call it). The next morning when the property owner was there I told her there was no hot water. After breakfast, we went the bathroom and she got hot water by running in the sink by turning the faucet more than 360 degrees. She easily got the shower hot water to turn on. I may not have turned the sink faucet enough, but I am sure I was doing the right thing to get hot water in the shower. The location of the B&B was excellent.

Great little place
Nice place to stay. The guy recommended a fun pub to visit and it was really great. The breakfast was very nice too. I enjoyed it. Perfect location as well. Easily walkable to the whole town.

This is a lovely B and B close to everything a visitor needs in Derry. In addition to the clean, quiet rooms, there are lounge areas stuffed with memorabilia and books about Derry history. It's a short walk to everything. The parking is right in front and we felt very safe.

Great breakfast, large 2 bed room & large bathroom. Lots of on street parking , safe area. Walkable to Catholic Church. City is hilly so walking not be taken lightly. Love love Derry . We stayed extra day. Because it’s very convenient to coastal sights.

We arrived late from Giant’s Causeway and host was most kind. He showed us to our room to make sure it and temperature was to our satisfaction. I can’t remember the last time a host did that! He told us a little family history and visited. There was tea and biscuit available after we got settled. In the morning, breakfast was delicious.

This Bed and Breakfast is in a perfect location. Quiet street close to the City Eall. Very short stroll to good restaurant and bars. The owners are very nice and informative. Highly recommend.

Love this place! Great value, staff couldn’t be friendlier, the home cooked breakfast and the music themed common area was delightful. The only downside was my room didn’t have a TV.

The owner was okay, approachable and friendly. The room was cozy and clean. Warm when I came in. However in the morning I didn’t feel much warm compared the night before. The water from the sink was cold. It didn’t matter too much as I was leaving that morning. Breakfast was lovely cooked by Ellie. I couldn’t access the wifi in my room which was on the ground floor but in the kitchen I could. Overall it was lovely and greatly recommend.

I like how comfortable this hotel is.. Especially Elli one of the staff assisted me and my fiancé generously we had a lovely free irish breakfast, coffee, fruits, juice and cereals and unlimited coffee or tea. She let us stay in living room after we checked out..I will highly recommend this for someone looking for a very accomodating place to relax..Will surely come back again..-Marie&Mike-♥️
