Very friendly staff. Good bar menu available till late in the evening. We stayed on a Friday night and the entertainment in the front lounge was great. Very friendly atmosphere. Will definitely return to this hotel.

Its a great hotel very friendly gerry was superb he helped us park the car and took our bags to the room he was a lovely friendly man as was all the staff we had a lovely breakfast in the morning so all in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay thankyou we will return

Was great that shops and restaurants where close to the hotel, underground car parking was brilliant knowing that our car was safe. Having a swimming pool in the hotel was great to be able to go and relax. Food in the hotel was excellent as where all the staff

Fantastic location and very busy. Great to have music in the bar area around dinner time. However, the pool and spa facilities were out of order. Breakfast was poor - coffee machines broken, food slow to come out, no bowls for cereal, no plates for the croissants. Although staff all friendly and helpful.

A bad experience from checking in We were allocated room 416 and our cases left in room Came back from shopping to find a member of staff had changed it to 608 Om arrival the noise was excessive We called reception who sent porter who told us we were above maintenance and couldn’t stay Changed to room 215 which was absolutely freezing We spent night cold and uncomfortable Hot up early for breakfast and no heating in restaurant A throughly unhappy stay which left us very disappointed Spoke to reception who said it would be passed on but wasn’t unduly apologetic r

The location is perfect for Derry centre and the room (family size) felt very comfortable for our small family of 3. The car parking downstairs is very tight but an added benefit and the swimming pool was a great hit with our son.

Restaurant staff need training on dietary needs.
We have visited this hotel on numerous occasions over the last 14 years and are sorry to say that standards are slipping especially in the restaurant. On arrival we were well looked after at check in, even when we got to the room we were pleasantly surprised to find they had left a gluten free bar with the tea and coffee as i had told them that one of our party is coeliac. At breakfast they used to cook a separate gluten free breakfast but this time we seen the server just fill the plate from the buffet which could easily be cross contaminated with gluten from other guests using utensils on each product. This happened on both mornings. Also the food was cold. We were staying in a family room. When we returned later in the day we discovered that only one of the beds had been made and the other was left in a heap. On our final morning we were asked to wait for a table at breakfast, even though we could see plenty empty places. We gave our room number and sat in the lounge as we were asked. We noticed that a lot of others were getting tables straight away and after about 20 minutes waiting the lady that took our room number passed us and asked "are you waiting on a table for breakfast?". She then told us that our number had been called and nobody showed so they marked us off. Nobody came over to call any number near us. The rooms are getting very dated and the bathroom needs an upgrade badly. Its unfortunate because we used to love staying in this hotel.

Wouldn’t stay here again
No air conditioning so the room was far too hot. A fan is not the answer. Breakfast was a shambles- warm glasses for orange juice, the toaster burnt your fingers, no tea bags, and one of the staff was rude when asked for a glass
