The staff are amazing and made our stay great! The attached bar was a great place to hang out with the locals and drink a Guinness.

Pros: Easy walking distance from train station and close to walled town.
Very good bar next door with live music some evenings. Very friendly bunch of people.

Nice big room, but not touched on our last day. Staff friendly, breakfast good. Be warned, it's on a very busy road, but the noise isn't too bad

No parking or Wi-Fi

Posted Apr 27, 2016 on Hotels
No parking, but there is a public lot up the street free from 8pm to 8:30am so don't sleep late. No Wi-Fi at all. Flat out dosen't work anywhere at all. In my opinion spend a few pounds more and book a place with parking and Wi-Fi and pass on this place. Food was good and staff friendly and helpful.

Last Minute Decision to stop in Derry for Two Nights. a Friend had stopped in the Iona before and said it was good, he wasn't wrong. Was shown round the place by the friendly Barman from the Iona Bar next door. The breakfast in the morning(Proper Ulster Fry!)Was great. it's across the road from a well stocked Corner Shop, Shopping Street(Banks etc)and 5 minutes from the Waterside Railway Station. i'll be back, hopefully when Derry City are at home!

Very good value hotel

Posted Nov 9, 2015
Pros: Price - Cleanliness - staff - breakfast
Cons: Tap in bathroom stuck & door handle fell off
Location: Very close to train station, taxi depot & peace bridge
Pleasantly surprised by this hotel, a very reasonable price of 50.00 including breakfast All members of staff were friendly & welcoming The breakfast was just perfect Yes some of the décor is a little worn in places but no real complaints & I would completely recommended
