Close to the port for cruise departure

Posted Nov 28, 2017
At first there was some confusion because I was charged by Expedia AND the hotel! However, when I arrived, the front desk clerk explained everything to my satisfaction. I do not remember her name, but a very pleasant young lady, that knows her job and how to give good customer service in what could have been a predicament with a not so pleasant ending. Also, there were ants in the room of one of my party and they were accommodated with another room.

thin walls

Posted Oct 14, 2017
The room we stayed in was next to the office and a loud guest was continually coming back until late into the morning hours and speaking from the outside to the desk clerk. Problem could have been solved by having the loud person step into the office.

Disappointed

Posted Oct 9, 2017
For $140 this was definitely not worth the stay what so ever! The room was dirty. We couldn't even sleep under the covers it was so bad. Luckily we brought our own blankets and pillows! During the night while we were watching tv, we were disturbed by a roach crawling across the tv stand. There were different small flying bugs around the room. One of the girls who stayed with us got bit by a bug in the middle of the night and woke up with a painful looking bug bite on her shoulder. We stayed at this particular place because it was relatively close to the half marathon we were participating in. They couldn't even extend our check out time so we could shower after our race before we left. Overall, this was an absolutely terrible experience and won't be staying at one of these places ever again. Learned my lesson the hard way!

This place is decent

Posted Sep 5, 2017
Pros: Close to the convention center
Location: Long Beach Convention Center, Long Beach State Park, Long Beach College
I read the other reviews before booking this place and a common thing was that the walls were thin and they could hear the outside world. The walls are thin and you can hear some of the cars passing on the highway. However, this was not something that was often or that was that bothersome. The parking lot is sort of small and seemed to fill up quickly. As mentioned in the description you will need a Chip card for accidental deposit (even if you pay for the hotel in advance), so I was glad I was able to make sure I had that on hand. The check in was quick and easy. The room itself was small but that might just be the room I picked (2 doubles). The bathroom shower looked like it was dirty but I think they were stains and probably wouldn't come out even with a good scrub. The maids came into the room to service it while we were away. However, they did not give us more clean towels and the beds were made but were not replaced with clean sheets. A maid came back while we were in the room later. She knocked once and then walked in. This was surprising as I was taking a nap and she did not wait even a second for someone to respond. She brought more towels but spoke English with a hard accent so we couldn't tell if she as asking us for our towels (which we had none since they serviced the room) or was trying to give us towels. She ended up walking in our room to the bathroom and I guess just gave us towels. Overall, experience was decent and for the money I would stay again.

Intestinal room for the price

Posted Aug 23, 2017
My family and I were on a week long trip running all around ca going to pretty much every theme park and attraction. We stopped in Long Beach and that's where we found this hotel. Out of the hotels I had stayed at the nights before this was by far the best! On the outside it looks a little sketch and no it's not in the best area. But it is less than 10 mins from the beach and actually a beautifully newly renovated room! With an amazing air conditioner!

I did choose this room because it was on the cheaper end of hotels in the area, but I was sadly dissapointed in the room. It was smaller than your average room I felt with very little lighting, and the interior seemed out dated.

This hotel is a motel, carpet had no padding on, towels were dirty, air conditioning did not work properly, had to leave a window open, and the street was very noisy. The room wreaked with smoke odor.
