There's a first time for everything

I had no complaints about my stay other than what I think is nothing more than a scheme for the Marriott to add extra fees on something that has historically been a benefit included. I ordered room service around 8pm the second night of my stay. I had an early flight the next morning and was already in my pjs so just wanted to grab a bite and crash. When I ordered I was told I would have to come down to get the food myself when it was ready unless I wanted to pay an extra $5 charge. I was truly shocked - I'm at a nice hotel and I am being charged for room service to actually be room service ? Room service isn't room service if the food isn't brought to your room. I will never stay at a Marriott again knowing this policy. Not because I'm a room service snob, but because it is clear the Marriott is finding ways to add more fees to its customers stay for things which Should be included

one night stay

Pros: We were on our way to Catalina Island.
Cons: We were happy
The service was excellent. We really enjoyed the view we had and the restaurant was great.

Only the lobby was nice, because nothing else was.

Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Read my experience.
The mattress was horrific. Dips in the middle so very uncomfortable. The water pressure in the shower was comparable to a urine stream. Four nights of stay, and each night I dreaded going into the shower. Took forever to rinse off the soap. The toilet was leaking the whole time. Supplies in the bathroom was not supplied correctly so we had to request for items to be brought in, which meant we had to keep tipping the person who brought the items to us. Never again will I stay in this awful hotel.

Excellent Hotel My compliments to your staff!

Pros: Staff.
Cons: Room Service Meals.
Location: I come each year by air for a High School Reunion.
I have been staying at your hotel for almost 10 years and have always been treated kindly by your entire staff. As an older woman, traveling alone, I depend on the conveniences that come with my staying with you. I frequently use your shuttle service always with the best results. I have called upon them early in the mornings as well as late in the evenings. I usually call upon room service at least once each day of my stay for a meal. I do prefer the old menu to the current one. The room service now is adequate but I prefer the old style of getting a Pot of Coffee rather than 2 paper cups. Also, I prefer a more traditional menu. If I were to change anything in the future it would be using a hotel that still uses the old style of room service for meals.

Close to family, nice brunch and amenities.

Pros: The ambiance, nice pool and meals.
Loved it. It is a good location with airport shuttle. Close to family.

just nice, I did expect more from Marriott.

Pros: the out doors are beautiful swimming area etc.
Cons: I would make sure each room is 100% ready!!! before tourist check in is not fun going out and looking for towels, tissues etc.
Location: other than airplanes noise going on constantly is very good location.
overall it was nice, door nob on the bathroom was broken can't happening since is Marriott and rates are over $200.00 per night. room 523 Memorial weekend.

The hotels staff - front desk, the restaurants, room service - were all exceptional. They do an excellent job hiring/training and making customer service a top priority. A do a lot of travelling and have stayed in much more "upscale/luxury" hotels that could stand to conduct themselves much more like the folks here. I as very impressed. The hotel is clean and the rooms are comfortable.

Long Beach day trip

Visited Long Beach area for family function. Service, and overall experience great. Would have liked a few more pillows there were none in the closet available. Our flight ran late so did not want to call down for more.
