Posted Aug 25, 2015
Beautiful place to stay and well maintained... There no fridge nor microwave. . When we ask for a room with a fridge there wasnt available... the pools are well maintained.. Over priced food.. breakfast buffet was $20 per person for some eggs and bacons.... and the staff service was ok not that great .. will def come if the price was more reasonable

A big surprise

Pros: The looks
Cons: The layout of the hotel
Location: was a few minutes away from Sagamore Hill.
We were looking forward to staying here but I must admit it was not what I expected. When we checked in there was no one to take your bags. Our room was a little distance away from the front desk. there were only a few elevators and not to get to our room. Quite a walk and then down 2 flights of stairs. Was told the elevator would not take us to the room. The Pub was located on the top floor and required you to walk up three flights of stairs. No elevator access. Highly priced breakfast and on several nights, the only food was served from the Pub and room service. We are in our early 60's and are physically fit. I have no idea what age group this hotel would be best suited.

Not bad...not great.

Pros: Attractive gardens and nice looking building facade.
Cons: Put the ice machine somewhere far from a room.
Location: Not much to do in the area. I enjoyed my visit to a beautiful Greek Orthodox Church around 5 miles away.
Other than the fact that my room was right next to an ice machine which made lots of noise and screaming kids out in the hall, I'd say that it was ok.

Visiting colleges

First impression was terrible. The guy at the reception desk acted like he didnt even want to be there. The room was old. The ac cover was half on. The shower didn't drain. The bathroom was old and had mildew. We were not given enough towels. The photos online did not represent your hotel well at all. The only plus was the pools.

Dissapointed !

Pros: I liked the mansion and the grounds.
Cons: The advertising online needs to tell the truth that you do not get a room in the mansion , all sleeping rooms are in brick buildings outside on ground
Location: Location is good
Nice mansion, but there are no rooms in the mansion all rooms are in brick dorm like buildings outside of mansion , mansion only has conference rooms, pub, etc. Very disappointed cause online this does not tell you that you will be in a out dated dorm like building on the grounds. Grounds were beautiful.

Lovely mansion

The mansion and grounds are beautiful. The staff was firendly and helpful. The additonal rooms are located in a structure that is more instituional looking than the original home. Our room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. I woulh highly recommend this location to any traveler.

Nice pet friendly hotel

Posted Jul 10, 2015
Pros: Nice big pool and plenty of chairs and tables around.
Location: Quite area, close to the shore, beach, restaurants, about 4 miles.
We were looking for a pet friendly hotel, We were pleasantly surprised that hotel like this is pet friendly. It is real mansion, with great lobby.
