wow, this is a beautiful hotel, nice surprise

Pros: everything, the valet parking, the staff, the room, bathroom, terrific
Cons: more locations for this hotel
Location: easy walk to beautiful town with lots of stores and lots of places to eat if you don't want to eat in the hotel, but the hotel has great restaurants t
this whole experience was outstanding, the hotel is gorgeous, the staff really helpful and welcoming, the room as requested was quiet and looked brand new. The hotel is close to the lovely town of Garden City with nice stores and great Japanese restaurant (and others) just a very quick walk away. Not expensive at all and yet the ambience of the hotel is very high-end. Great restaurants at the hotel as well. Will definitely stay there again when traveling out of JFK or just to relax. Now, one of my favorites.

Luxury and elegance

This is a fine outstanding luxury hotel comparable to any of the world's best hotels. The staff is attentive and well trained, the lobby and rooms are elegant and very well kept. If you plan to be in the area, there is no better hotel.

Good afternoon, We appreciate your review - please note our Deluxe Double bedded rooms have bathtubs, while our Deluxe King bedded rooms have walk in glass shower stalls.

Beautiful Hotel with Old Charm

Pros: Beds were very comfortable. Staff was friendly.
We stayed here after our flight was cancelled and all of the cheaper hotels were booked up. So this isn't our usual kind of place. However, we had a marvelous time. The beds were crazy comfortable, bathroom was immaculate, and the service was very friendly. Because of the storm, we were also forced to eat breakfast on sight. We had the delicious, continental breakfast for $30 each.

Great impression at first, but .....

The public spaces are attractive and comfortable, but my room assignment left a lot to be desired, i.e., a stain on the carpet and a discolored lid on the toilet seat (not the seat itself, bu the lid). Complained about the stained carpet, but no response. Didn't follow-up because of family health issues. Room cleaning staff could use added training; had a problem getting adequate bath towels.

The hotel is lovely. I've stayed there before. I had hoped to take my husband for a night there because it was so enjoyable. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to stay as when I arrived my 90 year old mom went into hospital and I had to go home. We called the hotel and they said we couldn't cancel or postpone our stay so we didn't have an opportunity to stay at the hotel.
