filthy room
Used tissue & trash on the floot next to night table. Window treatment shredded & dirty. An earring fell out of the sheets. And the perimeter of the carpet had not been vaccummed in quite some time. When the front desk was notified I was simply told "sorry".

Convenient to highway
Rooms and lobby were clean. Bed was comfortable. Nice to have fridge, micro, and coffee maker in room. Hot coffee available in lobby all day and evening is nice. Only negatives: carpets and upholstered chairs very worn and frayed. Overall, quiet and clean.

Lovely hotel, reasonable price, good breakfast.
The hotel shuttle took me to my meeting and then to the airport. This saved me a $35 cab fare from the airport. Would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel for a family.
Our rooms were ready, and clean when we arrived. We had reserved two rooms and they were reasonably close to on another. The continental breakfast, which include some fresh fruit, was more than adequate.

there was a ballet competition at another hotel that was already booked. this hotel was close by, very clean and the rates were reasonable. continental breakfast was an added perk!

I arrived late and my room key didn't work. I wasn't happy about the glitch, but the staff was very quick to correct the problem. Hotel is well-located if your work takes you that far out on Long Island.

Decieving room description
I splurged and booked the "King bed, sfbd/whirlpool room" I assumed because the overview of the room didn't say otherwise that by whirlpool they meant jacuzzi, as whirlpool is just another brand name for a spa-sized tub like a jacuzzi is. Upon my arrival I was disappointed. I called the front desk and was told that none of the rooms have Jacuzzis. I visited the front desk and showed them my confirmation to which they told me that a whirlpool was a regular bath-tub with jets. I've never heard it called that and I was a pretty surprised that just a bath tub with jets would raise the cost of the room $60. A little ridiculous, if you ask me. I've worked in guest services at hotels before and what really got me was the response by the man at the front desk I thought it was unhelpful and unapologetic for the confusion, the two things you have to be when a guest shows that they are not satisfied.

Wireless internet is slower than my 1996 dial up service. The hotel is located next to a mulch outlet. The heater/fan in the room went on every 60 minutes even though I had turned it off. It was very loud.

hotel is new, so everything is new and clean! I like it. Breakfast is included in the price, and is good! room is big and quite. after spending more old hotels in New York city for days, I got refreshed by living there.

The hotel was dirty and the rooms were cold damp and stuffy. Service was ok and they had to move us 2 times before they gave us a room that had heat and was clean . Disappointed as I have stayed here before and never had a problem

Hotel for business people
Not a great hotel for couples. Suited for business people. The hotel is very old. The breakfast is terrible. Its okay for a one night stay but I wouldn't recommend it for more than a night. My husband and I decided to stay there because the hotel did get good reviews but we were really disappointed.

Not as pleasant as previous visits to this hotel
I have stayed at this hotel several times, most recently November 2011. All previous stays were quite pleasant with friendly staff, an excellent free breakfast, and comfortable, clean rooms. This visit was different. First, the air in the room was so loud, that I had to turn the TV up a lot to even hear it. The Front Desk called to tell me a noise complaint had been received, so I was forced to turn off the air in order to watch the TV. It shouldn't be a choice between comfortably hearing TV (or even someone speaking!) and controlling the temperature in the room. Next, the condition of the room was not great: stains on the furniture and carpet. The bedding and bathroom were clean, but we wore shoes during our 2 day stay. Finally, there were a lot of people lounging around the common areas and smoking by the front door. It seems that a lot of people displaced by Sandy are staying here through FEMA. While the hotel is entirely non-smoking, the third floor common areas smelled strongly of smoke, perhaps from the smokers going in and out repeatedly for months. As a last note, I went in and out through the lobby multiple times per day with a small child and multiple bags and nobody at the front desk or in the breakfast area ever greeted me. Overall, I think I will spend an extra $30 the next time I come to the area and stay elsewhere. It is a shame, as I really had great experiences there in the past.

Great Hotel
My husband and I love this hotel! Its super clean, the beds are so comfortable and they have a pretty great breakfast in the morning complete with eggs, sausage, oatmeal, waffles, fresh bagels, bread, etc... We never want to leave when it's time to check out.

The hotel was clean and very family oriented. The televisions are old and in serious need of updating. The hallways had a funny odor. The continental breakfast was pretty good. The fruit was definitely fresh, the fresh made waffles were delicious, the oatmeal was mushy, the choice of cereals were pretty good and the staff had a hard time understanding English. The mattress was comfortable but the sheets must have been new and they needed to be washed a few times so that they were not so rough. We were provided plenty of towels and the water pressure was awesome!

Our room was very clean and had lots of space, and the staff was very professional. Would definitely recommend. Used the fridge and microwave, and the hot breakfast was terrific. Free parking and wi fi were bonuses. Right off of 495 so location was great, too. Area immnediately around hotel was safe, but other parts of Brentwood--not so much. Hotel was just a little too far from Manhattan to make it convenient, but overall a fantastic stay.

Key card for my room did not work upon arrival... had to get another room. No shampoo in bathroom. Breakfast pretty lame compared to other hotels of this type. Still an old TV... seriously? Does Wyndham really think this is the way to go? ... Room itself was terrific, but overshadowed by flaws

A nice airport hotel
Free internet was a plus, as was the airport shuttle. Breakfast was slightly above continental (they had pancakes, sausage & boiled eggs & you make your own waffles) and well stocked. Room was spacious and clean.
