Best kept secret in Longview

I frequently travel to Longview to visit family and friends. I was pleasantly surprised when I found this hotel on Expedia. I have stayed there twice now and plan to again on future trips. The facility has been recently updated. The staff was very helpful in matching me to a room that met my physical needs. I have recommended to friends and will continue to do so.

More watchable channels needed

Pros: room was very clean and comfortable and relaxing. The owner called the room after i checked in to make sure everything worked properly.
Cons: TV Channels
Location: Hey its Longview. Its very limited for things to do.
This was a great place to stay and ill be staying there again. The only issue I had was although they have over 100 channels on the TV only 10-20 were truly watchable unless you speak fluent spanish. They should have a vending machine for the late night hungries. other than that it was a GREAT PLACE!!!

Never in a million years

Pros: Nothing. Desk clerk mildy attentive. Didn't dismiss my concerns for flooded bathroom or the disgusting stench if smoke.
Cons: Everything listed above...pretty much everything.
Location: Longivew, TX. Restaurants nearby which was great.
Firstly, I had reserved to rooms with a king-sized bed in each. Once there the room had apparently been changed to a bedroom with 2 full sized beds. Not that big a big deal. Second, one bathroom was entirely flooded and the ENTIRE room reeked of smoke. Like really? My room are is allergic to cigarette smoke and her eyes were starting to water and burn. We asked for a room changed and the desk clerk obliges. Which I appreciated. Shouldn't happen in the first place though. The second room smelled like really old junk, it's hard to explain but it just had a gross unkept smell. They used towels which I'm sure were for guests to clean up a leak in the hallway. They stayed there all of my stay. Overall, this was an awful hotel experience and I will never book again. Guess I got what paid for....but worse.

Bad hotel
