Great stay will stay again
Very cute location. Very walkable to all location around Jefferson. My wife and I make a trip to Jefferson every year (5years now) will make this a regular stay. Owners are very communicative and kind.

Practically perfect in every way!!!
This lovely apartment in the upstairs of a brand new, but built in the style and sturdiness of an old, building is the absolute perfect getaway from the hustle-bustle. If you are spry enough, the spiral staircase is a super fun entrance and a bonus: it’s much nicer and bigger steps than the ones attached to really old buildings. Once up top, you will see that Carmen has thought of everything possible to make the stay comfortable. From the gorgeous antique furnishings, to the beautiful window shutters that make for a dreamy dark cool afternoon snooze on the sofa, to every kitchen amenity a traveler could need (coffee, water, sodas, snacks. And that balcony. It’s so lovely to sit out there and people watch, hear the quiet of the morning, or look out on the bayou on a lazy Sunday while the smells of the local courthouse bbq pit waft your way… it’s the perfect build in the perfect location. Spacious, lovely, and with a hostess who is relaxed and happy to help with any small requests at a moment’s notice. A steal of a deal not to miss!

This is our second stay at this location. The location is close enough to walk to all the major places of interest and far enough to be quiet. Carmen is great and has great communication. We love the antique bed and the balcony. We will stay here again.

Perfect location at the edge of everything
We were torn about writing this review for purely selfish reasons. After staying here, we didn't want anyone else to know about this hidden gem. (We can't wait to go back!). The location is great. This place is on the EDGE of everything, not in the middle of everything. If you are the window-seat type, you’ll appreciate access to everything without being right on top of everything. The building feels old but is newly built or meticulously renovated — and the furnishing design approach creates a good balance between fancy antiques and modern convenience. The kitchen was GREAT. Everything we needed and nothing we didn't. It's not a full kitchen, so if you want to grill burgers, or make a big meal, this kitchen is not for you (it does have a microwave/convection oven). Snacks, drinks, and coffee are all we had. We spent a LOT of our time relaxing on the balcony watching the hummingbirds get nectar from the trumpet vines across the street. The patio is on the east side of the building, so even when it was hot, we had a shady, breezy place to unwind. Any knocks? Yes, and no. The only access is up a set of spiral stairs, which didn't bother us, but your situation may be different. Jefferson was founded as a train town, so light sleepers might find that the proximity to the intermittent train horn (including late at night) takes some getting used to. For us, it was all a welcome part of the experience.

Perfect Getaway
Accommodations are top notch, and not having to eat breakfast on someone else’s schedule was even better. This unit is immaculately clean, the cozy bed is amazingly comfortable, and the location is conveniently perfect.

Great place!
We had a wonderful stay here. The hosts were great to work with. Joe happened to be next door a couple of times and we got to visit with him about the progress of the adjoining property, as well as some of the things happening around town. Carmen texted a couple of times to make sure that everything was good. The decor is great. The room was clean and well kept. The balcony was very enjoyable, even on a hot Summer evening. I appreciate the attention to security. I am glad to share that the keyless entry is changed for each guest, and that there is also a deadbolt on the inside. I mention it because I have stayed a few properties that did not have these features. My only caution, and it did not bother us at all, is that this that the access to this second floor room is via a spiral staircase that could be difficult for some people, or if carrying large baggage. We greatly enjoyed this property and look forward to returning in the future.

Fantastic Rental
We came to Jefferson for a weekend getaway to celebrate our 20 year wedding anniversary. The property is awesome, beautifully decorated with everything we needed. The owners were quick to answer any questions we had. The patio was excellent for evening relaxation. We were were in walking distance of everything. It was a great trip and I highly recommend this property.
