Good location for Los Alamos

Posted Nov 6, 2017
Pros: Location
Cons: The hot part of breakfast was pretty bad....but on par with equivalent medium priced hotels. See above for other improvement opportunities.
Location: Centrally located near the Los Alamos walking tour. Not much else to see or do in town but we were not there as tourists.
Nothing disastrous nor wonderful. -AC had a wall thermostat and so did the window unit. No instructions, verbal or written on the difference between them or how they coordinated. Had to run the cooling all night despite an outside temperature in the 50's. -Only loosely qualified as a suite with a love seat in an alcove near the door with no tables, TV, or view. Friends stayed in the same hotel earlier and had a much bigger and better organized room. We thought we were ordering an equivalent room so don't know what the difference is - both labeled king suites as far as I remember. -TV across from the bed had a complex remote with no instructions. Most of the functions didn't work anyway. (No DVR, guide, etc. - just basic cable.) -The coffee maker and a floor lamp had no unused outlets nearby - so would have to be moved for use. -Bathroom door could not be opened without hitting someone on the toilet - unlikely but still... -Microwave was on a low shelf - had to get on the floor to read the buttons and operate the device. -Bed was comfortable, TV worked, temp was fine after much trial and error. Summary - the planning for this particular room was thoughtless and the arrangement very poor. Small if it was supposed to be a suite. Might have been just a room but I thought I ordered a suite.

Very Nice

Posted Oct 19, 2017
Pros: Very nice decor, clean, friendly staff.
Cons: Guest washer was not working. I specifically picked this hotel so that I could do some laundry and not have to travel home with unwashed clothes.
Location: Location was good, easy access to restaurants and far enough off of highway to not hear road traffic.
Excellent experience, will definitely consider a Comfort Inn again.

The hotel was renovating the rooms. We were put on the third floor that was not yet completely renovated. There were no towel bars in the bathroom and the room numbers were indicated with taped on paper labels. The beds were very comfortable. Would be a great place to stay if you were on a different floor.

Convenient location

Posted Aug 19, 2017
Nice staff, but facilities are just OK. My room was spacious and comfortable (King suite). No pool, very small exercise room. Construction happening next door (for hotel), so water was turned off, but fortunately it was my checkout day. Didn't know there was a free town shuttle bus, or I would have chosen another hotel further away from my conference.

Floor under construction /renovation :(

Posted Jul 18, 2017 on Hotels
Was booked in floor that was under construction/renovation .(see pics).. would be nice if a disclaimer by the hotel prior to booking was listed in the description giving a heads up that construction/renovation is why the fares were so low... Los Alamos was great though, made the best of the situation. ...

Meh

Cons: Pool
Location: Not much
What is there to say, not like there are many choices in Los Alamos. Typical hotel chain experience. Definitely needed a pool with that summer heat.
