Surprising Quality and Great Price

Pros: Breakfast, donut holes, free parking, guest-friendly fridge, responsive staff, surprisingly nice gym
Cons: Closets are too small and there is no long hanging space for dresses or pants that need to hang full-length.
Though the rooms aren't huge and the best view is of the courtyard, stay here for the nice touches and solid service. A very competent short-order kitchen makes excellent oatmeal for a hot breakfast and Starbucks coffee. Freshly made and yummy cinnamon donut holes are free for the taking throughout the day, and the gym is larger than many in higher-end hotels and well appointed. Wifi is free, as is parking for guests which is always a plus! There is a full bar on the first floor, and rooms have a mini fridge (not a mini bar) for your own purchases. Staff was particularly nice and responsive to a problem with our reservation when we arrived. Rooms can be a bit noisy (on the second floor, we heard footsteps in the room above us) and it is frustrating that there is no long hanging space in the small closet (even a cocktail dress draped on the shelf) but overall this is a great place to stay for a good price in Los Altos/Palo Alto.

Nice but ...

Our room was close to the elevator and also adjoining room. We could hear the hall traffic and also our neighbors TV at 2:00am. Had to call the front desk to complain.

Great experience

From the moment you pull up the experience is great! Easy and free parking, staff is so friendly and helpful, great atmosphere in the lobby. I didn't have a chance to eat at the restaurant or have a drink at the bar but they looked great! My room was so clean and seemed very updated and new. Check in and out was very easy and convenient. Couldn't have asked for a better stay. Thank you courtyard!

Hidden Gem

I could not believe what a wonderful place existed. I was looking for hotel to stay by Bay Area that was a good price and this place was beyond my expectations. The bar was wonderful and great restaurant. Who could imagine this great hotel and great value in luxurious Palo Alto.

Donuts & popcorn!

My stay at Courtyard Palo Alto was fabulous. The hotel was clean and the staff was very helpful & flexible (no hassle for early check-in & late check-out). There was always fresh, fruit infused water out and popcorn/donuts for a snack. Overall a very pleasant stay!
