Very comfortable environment, with all the amenities we needed in a classic-style home. '"We will be back" Perfect base to live close to our so-Cal family in Midtown LA and Pasadena. Conveniently located near many stylish restaurants on Melrose, Beverly, and 3rd--and close to our favorites, The Grove and Farmers Market, as well as Larchmont Village. The bedroom had sheer curtains. There was a spot light in the backyard that made sleep difficult. We did not get much help from the owner. We covered the window with aluminum foil which fixed the problem.

What a great place to spend the weekend! Check in was easy with lockbox instructions from the owner two days in advance. Off-street parking took the stress out of understanding street cleaning schedules in LA, and the owner also provided neighborhood street parking permits in case they are needed. The bed was comfy, the towels were soft, and the kitchen was well-equipped (though who wants to cook with dozens of amazing places to eat and drink within blocks...?) The property is a duplex, and other reviewers mentioned noise from next door, but I did not experience any issues, despite people clearly being home in that unit. The common wall does not touch the bedrooms so I can't imagine it being a huge problem during sleeping hours in any case. Two things to note for potential guests - 1. the unit is cooled with window AC boxes that need to be manually operated as needed. I visited during mild weather and was able to keep the climate perfect by opening the windows at night and closing them again before the temperature got too warm outside. But in very hot weather, you would need to use the window units. 2. The wifi worked perfectly, but it is very weak near the front of the house, which is also where the table you would likely work at is located. So if you are planning to do productive work using wifi while visiting, you will need to bring your laptop to the back bedroom where there is a little table you can use. I will check on the availability of this property first anytime I want to visit mid city LA - it was perfect for my needs!

            5/5 Excellent

              Great location

Home is exactly how it looks in the photos. Location is very convenient for whatever you are planning to do in LA. Would recommend.
