Very Clean

We went to universal studios for a family vacation and on previous visits to universal studios I've stayed in very expensive hotels that are very dirty and with a high price. This hotel is very nice and it's just 15 minutes away from universal studios and the price was good

Having been familiar with this property years ago, thought I'd try a stay again. Seems little has been updated or upgraded during that time. While the promo posters for their retardant and other hotel features are quite current in their treatment, the halls and room was 2-star at best. And since this is a destination hotel near nothing, they tack on $12 to park there. In total it did not add up to a valuable or enjoyable experience.

OK place at reasonable price for LA area

Pros: Easy to get a good parking place close to door for my room
Cons: Freshen up the bathrooms and carpet etc
Location: not in that great of a neighborhood, need to drive to find coffee or restaurant other than the one on site
Stayed for 4 nights. Hotel is dated but overall clean. Pool area looked very nice. It is right next to Van Nuys airport which I enjoy because I like planes. Plane noise was not all that noticeable in the rooms, and it was never real late at night.

Plan for traffic in the morning.

Pros: Clean property.
Cons: I was very unhappy to find out that you are charged $12.00 to park at this very average hotel.
Location: I did not venture out.
Traffic is brutal in the morning getting to the 101. If you stay there for meetings in Woodland Hills and surrounding areas, know that you should plan 20-30 minutes just to get to the 101. Kind of a dingy area right next to the Van Nuys Airport. Room was okay- nothing special. TV remote did not have a sleep timer which I really hate. Shower had a low flow shower head that did not produce much pressure. Water temp did not get very hot during peak wake up and shower times.

The sheets had hairs on it ! Room smelled dusty.. Nothing like the pictures.. Great staff very friendly and helpful

old and dirty

Cons: everything needs to be improved
Location: very dirty and bad location
room was not ready. very dirty and outdated. very poor customer service. area was extremely unsafe.

Two star hotel pretending to be 3

Not terrible but certainly not worth the price. Rooms are outdated, wallpaper peeling, etc. Bedding felt old and worn out. Not recommended
