decent centraly located older property undegoing

Posted Aug 22, 2015
Pros: The room was basically clean, convienient location, easy ingress eagress, except for noted above staff was friendly and efficient
Cons: STOP BANGING ON THE WALL WHEN A PATRON ASKS
Location: good location
My stay was spoiled by loud construction in the room below mine. At first the front desk denied it was part of the hotel. Then I confronted them with the knowledge from the maid, otherwise would have been a nice visit but was spoiled BY LOUD BANGING ON MY ALL ALL DAY LONG NONSTOP. It drove me nuts and if it would have been possible I would have checked out and found a more peaceful place. Breakfast was mediocre, but not a deal breaker, but the wall pounding was, especially when the front desk claimed to have no "no idea" about it.

Friendly Staff

Posted Aug 18, 2015
We used this hotel when we went to Universal Studios. Price was right, the breakfast was good and everybody from desk receptionist to kitchen was very friendly. Our room was already cooled for us when we arrived at 10pm. The night clerk called us after a few minutes to see if we needed anything and promptly brought up an extra blanket. They accommodated my request of room placement due to my daughter's health. I have stayed in other hotels and this was by far one of the friendliest and quietest. The only reason why I gave 4 on facilities/condition was due to some of the parking lot being roped off due to construction and because the spaces are narrow. We will be back.

Close enough to drive to sights we wanted to see..

Posted Aug 8, 2015
I had questions for the front desk each morning as far as places to see and go and how to get places and each staff in the front were able to answer my questions and with all positive attitudes. Thats a plus... Ely who worked the front desk was VERY INFORMATIVE. All staff were excellent...even the maids that cleaned rooms were very nice...i needed towels and exchanged them for new ones and got them without any hassles. All staff said Hi each time you saw them. The Lady at the Breakfast was very nice and had great ethics. Each morning she would ask how my day and stay was. Helpful on explaining how to work the waffle machine..i bet she is asked millions of time..but she was very patient. I would recommend to anyone to go there

East of most attractions, but OK LA location.

Posted Aug 8, 2015
Pros: Breakfast.
Cons: The place is a little tattered.
Location: Greater LA attractions are reasonably close and price is lower than more central hotels.
Pleasing breakfast and easy freeway access, a must in LA.

Great Staff!

Cons: The sofa/chair in our suite.
My boyfriend and I stayed here for 5 nights and could not have been happier with our choice. We were even upgraded from a King ROOM to a King SUITE for free. It was super clean, had a very comfy bed, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and extra sink in the living room. The rooms were very large and you can close off the bedroom for privacy/quietness. There was a TV in both the bedroom and living room. The room was very quiet...we never heard adjoining rooms (we chose the top floor) or outside noises. The A/C worked very well. There is an elevator if you need one to get to the 2nd or 3rd floors. I cannot say enough good things about the staff. EVERY person we came in contact with was SUPER nice, efficient and went above and beyond the call of duty. I have to say that in all my travels, I've never seen such genuine, great service from each and every employee. Whoever is responsible for this deserves a raise. All of the staff seem happy with their jobs and they convey a very welcoming atmosphere. The breakfast buffet (included) was very good and the staff (once again!) were great. They had bagels and bread for toasting along with cream cheese and jelly for topping, sweet rolls, mini-muffins, fresh fruit bowls, bananas, 3 juices, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, waffle maker with syrup, cereals/milk, instant oatmeal packets, eggs, hash browns, and sausages (I personally didn't have any of the last 3). All foods were fresh and tasty and they had plenty of tables/chairs to sit a

Pasadena stay.

Posted May 31, 2015
Pros: The staff was the best part.
Cons: Decor could be improved, especially in the bathrooms. Almost like staying in a Motel 6.
Location: Old Pasadena was great and we had a great dinner at Il Fornaio.
The Pasadena Royale was a nice enough stay. The bed was nice and the staff was great. The location was ok, but we still needed to drive to old Pasadena for dinner. There are options closer, but we wanted to get to a place with character, which old Pasadena surely has. The room was meager for the price charged. The bathroom was dreary, with peeling paint in the tub, and very little ambiance.
