Good hotel with characterPosted Nov 24, 2015
Good older hotel (rooms renovated) with a lot of Hollywood pictures on the walls. Location in Hollywood Hills a fair distance to the better parts of Hollywood Blvd. and has few good restaurants nearby. It is however a well kept hotel, clean and comfortable.

Nice, clean hotel. Some cute quirks as well! Location was perfect for where we needed to be... parking is a bit tight, but I assume that's why they include valet in your hotel charge. Friendly staff!

A short walk from the major Hollywood spotsPosted Oct 8, 2015
Pros: Cleanliness, Friendliness, Position close to Hollywood & Sunset Blvd.
Location: A supermarket close by, with a couple of reasonably priced eateries, short distance from Hollywood Blvd and the Walk of Fame. Trader Joe's off that Bv
Enjoyable and comfortable experience. Brian, the Manager, is super helpful, as are all the staff. Brian has invested heavily in redecoration, and guests will appreciate and benefit from these. The attached diner provides a full menu of reasonably priced food during the day and until early morning. The hotel is clean and attractively decorated and the rooms spacious and fresh. Like all Hollywood Hotels price vary according to season and demand. Thrifty visitors should shop carefully, and perhaps adjust visit times according to their resources.

comfort near the Hollywood stripPosted Sep 1, 2015 on Hotels
Our family of four stayed here for four nights in August. We picked it partly due the location being relatively close to family we were visiting in West Hollywood. It's off the main Hollywood strip, but close enough to walk - it's about 25 minutes to Hollywood and Hyland. It's also handy to the 101 (a very quick drive to Universal Studios), and if you are curious about using the Metro it's just a couple of blocks away too. We walked to the Hollywood bowl for a concert (25 minutes), and were a short drive away from Griffith Park (check out the Bronson caves where they shot the opening scene from the Batman tv show.) There's a little bit of a hip restaurant strip east along Franklin and a cool donut place in the strip mall next door. The hotel itself is older, but refurbished, with a newish bathroom and nice bedding. AC was efficient and relatively quiet. Our room had a little kitchenette. Our room was over the restaurant; it's pretty well soundproofed, but with good ears you could hear faint jukebox music through the floor. We used the pool a few times - it's a bit small, tucked into a tiny courtyard, but clean. There are many sets of stairs connecting the front and back parts of the hotel and the parking garage, with somewhat narrow hallways, so not great for anyone with mobility issues. The staff was sort of helpful and you could print out tickets and boarding passes in the lobby. Overall a pleasant experience

unexpected perfection!Posted Sep 1, 2015
Pros: room, convenience to highway 101
Cons: "business center"- only has microsoft office 2007 so i wasn't able to print off much needed reports
hotel was clean, room was very spacious (double shower head!, microwave, refrigerator, large bed, desk, etc) i stayed on the first floor outside of the pool and it was quite enough. i'm sure in a busy time it can get loud, but it was fine for me! truly, i was pleasantly surprised. i've stayed ALL over the city and although, for my business, the location was incredibly convenient, the hotel was by far one of the nicest i've stayed at.

Very disappointed, would never stay here again!Posted Aug 31, 2015 on Hotels
My husband and I travel a lot, we have stayed in many hotels over the last few years. This hotel is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in, and it was way over priced, even for Hollywood. The hotel is very hard to find, we drove past it 3 times before we found it, the valet was the nicest person encountered. The check in took forever, the girl was learning, and didn't know what she was doing, but she wasn't the problem. The problem was the person training her, who was just annoyed that he was trying her, it showed how much he just didn't care about customer service at all. We go to our room, it was clean, but forget about getting a good night sleep. All we could here was the people in the pool, the walls are paper thin, and you can hear everything. The next morning I am getting ready to take a shower, and there was no water, I called the front desk, they said the water was shut off because they were working on it, and it should be back on in about 3 hours. Normally this wouldn't have bothered me, but they knew they were turning the water off and didn't bother to tell the guests. I am not a complainer and I usually brush things off, but this was an awful experience.
