ACCIDENTAL DOUBLE BOOKING ???

Arrived at the hotel on Friday 12/23/2016 at around 11:00 p.m. in the middle of a heavy thunderstorm. Checked in, got the key, walked to the room. Tried to open the door, the key did not work. Had to telephone the front desk to let them know key did not work. After a few minutes, hotel staff brought new keys and told us the first key did not belong to that room. Seriously ????....Got in, unpacked, relaxing, unwinding, when suddenly I heard somebody was opening the door (fortunately I had the door chained )......the guy outside told me that the front desk had assigned them the same room that I got. Seriously????....I immediately telephoned the front desk to make them aware of the problem......Issue got resolved but this incident was very SCARY.
