Be aware that the "No Elevator" rooms require you to carry your stuff through an extensive maze of outdoor stairs up four stories (though it feels like eight from the maze).
The hotel feels like an old motel that has had some renovations and the room also had an overpowering mildewy smell and old carpet that triggered my daughter's allergies. We asked if any other rooms were available, but, as has been stated in other reviews, the front desk staff was not interested in helping.
The hotel is located on a very busy 6 lane street of large apartment/condo buildings (and ironicaly is not technically in Beverly Hills), so is not walkable to anything. However, if you have a car, it's a quick 10 minute drive to Beverly Hills and the valet is friendly.
We did not end up trying the restaurant. It is priced at room service levels ($10 for a bagel, etc.), and is closed random hours, so we just always ended up eating elsewhere. The gym also had no free weights or many machines, so did not end up using it.
Hard to figure this hotel out. We got a super low rate, so it worked for us.
