Many Pleasing Aspects

Posted Jul 27, 2016
Pros: The staff and the location were the outstanding elements to this hotel.
Cons: As described above, if the issue was not isolated to my room; filters to remove the hardness from the water.
Location: Excellent places to eat on Santa Monica Blvd. All of Sunset Blvd is not far away. Also some of the rated tour operators are just off Santa Monica Blvd
The best aspects of the hotel: 1) Location. 2) The staff. I thought the room was basic but my comparator for the cost is Las Vegas. For the same money I would have had a suite in a 5 star hotel. The location probably explains the cost as the hotel is near Sunset. My other issue (and I don't know if it was isolated to my room, which is a possibility) the water was incredibly hard. I did make the point at the end of my stay to the front desk that they needed to put water filters to take out the hardness. Was near impossible to get soap off in the shower. The staff in the hotel were faultless. All were incredibly polite and helpful. Made me feel welcome at all times. The restaurant was good and I cannot fault anything I was served there. The rooftop pool looks deceptively big in the photos. It is incredibly pleasant at the top on a good day but do not expect to be doing Olympic workouts up there.

Great location, convenient to great restaurants, very walkable area. Fun & funky hotel. Food in bistro was delicious but the best part is the staff. Everyone has been so helpful & friendly. We will definitely come back!!! Best part is the cabanas at the rooftop pool!!!

Coolest hotel room ever!

Posted Jul 13, 2016
Pros: Colors, Feel, Look, Uniqueness, Furnishings, Fireplace in room, two levels in room, ROOMY, comfy, Rooftop Pool with Views!, great location.
Location: Within 10 min of Mann's Chinese Theatre, Madame Tussead's, drove all over Beverly Hills, Hollywood Hills, Rodeo Drive etc..great location!!!
We walked in and were in awe at the very cool and unique furnishings... the steps down to the "bedroom area"... the living room with the amazing color palette and the indoor gas fireplace.... I want to redecorate my entire home now. It was so beautiful and modern and I loved the uniqueness of it. This felt more like a posh condo than a hotel room. The rooftop pool with the city views was amazing. The only thing it lacks is a hottub! Rooftop without a spa??? what??? They need to make room for that and it would be perfect. Great location too in a residential area... quiet.... but super close to all the Hollywood attractions. Great restaurants just a few minutes away. Kids loved the pool!

First hotel after a very long flight and they waved the early check in fee. Room was big enough and always clean. Hotel staff great.. Would stay again.

Great hotel with lovely roof top pool

Posted Jun 10, 2016
Pros: Location Roof top pool Great rooms
Cons: Too expensive car parking fee Too noicy AC in the room
I had a wonderful time at Chamberlain! The room was big and clean. The hotel is just 1 minute walk from both Santa Monica Boulevard and Sunser Boulevard, but is located on a totally quiet street. So no disturbing traffic. The roof top pool is lovely. The only negative is that parking costs 40 Dollar per night, without chance to park in the street. So you have to calculate for 40 Dollars per night if you have a car. And the AC in the room sounded too loud during night - so bring earplugs. Would definitely stay here again!!

Cute, but not impressed

Posted Jun 9, 2016
Pros: I liked the entrance of the hotel. Nice style. Quiet, relaxing area.
Cons: Hotel prices on darker rooms facing inward should be lowered in price. An attendant checking the pool, especially on a nice, hot day.
Location: The location is great in WeHo. Close to walk to restaurants and shops, or around the quiet neighborhood. Sunset Strip is close for nights out.
The Chamberlain was an OK hotel. Upon arrival, I parked the car and checked in at the front. I was told there was a $100 fee charged per night for room service, parking, etc., and what I don't spend would be reimbursed. I ended up spending more than I normally would if the expenses were charged at the end of the stay. The ladies at the front were very nice. I then brought my car around to the garage. I had no help with my bags and arrived at my room on the second floor facing inward and it was dark and smelled quite musty. I called the front and asked if I could please switch to a brighter room. They were very kind to switch me to a much brighter and cleaner room on the first floor. The pool was nice but service terrible. There were no attendants and no towels available, and chair covers were still wet and hadn't been changed from previous guests. In order to request food/drinks, you had to go inside to the elevator to make a call down to room service. I figured this out as others were doing it on my first day there. I was the only one at the pool on my second day and when I called the man on the other end of the phone was extremely rude, and when my food was delivered I asked "is it OK that I called from there? I just followed suit from people yesterday" and he responded with snark that there should be a pool attendant up here helping me.

Good location near a lot but off main drag

Very nice place with excellent view of city from rooftop pool. Weight room acceptable. I would definitely go back again. Parking 40$ day but is valet and in out privileges
