Pros: close to LAX airport
Cons: Clean, update.
Location: close to airport
Old, rundown, parking was a nightmare! bathroom was clean, beds were soft... pay a bit more, and stay at a nicer place.

Named Comfort Inn for a reason.Posted Nov 16, 2015
Pros: The large accommodating room and comfortable bed/towels.
Cons: The staff can smile more :-)
Location: Nearby lots of shopping/dining. I recommend #1 Buffet - all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet. We also shopped at Wal-Mart and Marshalls while we were there.
Comfort Inn Cockatoo is positioned less than 10 minutes away from LAX airport. I was amazed when I walked into our hotel room, it was so spacious and the beds so comfortable I wanted to take them back home with me. The room was fully equipped with refrigerator, stove and microwave, the bathroom was large with plenty of storage and the central air worked perfectly! It looked like they recently remodeled and it looks great. The BEST hotel at this price range that I've stayed at thus far. I checked the reviews before I booked and I am glad I did! It was worth it.

overnight by LAXPosted Nov 14, 2015
Pros: Kind, helpful staff at the front desk. Comfortable, clean room, good bed with pillows to suit different preferences, and a great shower.
Cons: The building is awful. I'd start the improvements there. On a more practical note, better signage near the shuttle bus stop, would be good.
Location: It didn't look appealing enough to investigate, and the restaurants in the vicinity, as noted in the notebook in my room, were unappealing as well.
My initial reaction to the Comfort Inn Cockatoo was disappointment. The hotel's airport shuttle dropped me off in the middle of a cluster of motels, with no signs, and I wandered around in the dark dragging my suitcases, looking for mine. I wished the shuttle driver had instructed the guests in which direction to go to find his/her motel. The entrance of the Comfort Inn Cockatoo is not obvious; it can't be considered a lobby. However, the person at the front desk was welcoming and helpful. Access to the guests' rooms is awkward and inconvenient, involving going back outdoors, & using your key card to open the heavy gate to the swimming pool area (awkward with suitcases), and taking the elevator up to the rooms. Here, at least, there are signs to direct guests to the elevator and room numbers. The room was clean and comfortable, with a great shower, and a very comfortable bed. I appreciated the free wifi internet access. I had a great night's sleep. Breakfast was in a long, narrow, unappealing room near the elevator, well marked, but cold, as the door to the outside was kept open. It was an uninteresting meal, with plenty of sweet carbohydrates on offer. The bacon was good, though. All in all, I would not stay there again unless I couldn't find anywhere nicer.

Great for the proximity to LAX.Posted Nov 13, 2015
Great for value and proximity to LAX. Initial parking is tough, there's only room for 1 vehicle to park in front of the hotel at check in. I had to park 1/2 block away. Once you check in there is a parking structure you have access to, it's a 3 level structure with no elevator that is not connected to the hotel, so upload your bags before parking. My wife and I were followed to our car by 2 questionable individuals when we left at 4AM, we contacted the "security" guard inside the parking structure, he acknowledged knowing about them, he was even able to describe them, and knew them to be hotel guests that were drunk, but didn't seem to care. The shower didn't work when we checked in, the front desk clerk was very friendly and apologetic, and got us a new room quickly. I would stay here again, with caution.

Excellent hotel, Freeway access, family friendlyPosted Oct 25, 2015
Our stay was very pleasant. Would definitely come back again soon. Attentive staff and super accommodating. Breakfast bar has eggs, meat, fruit, cereal, waffles, donuts, pastries, and the menu changes daily. The only downside is that the parking garage is separated by a house that sits between the hotel and is a shared garage with 2 other hotels so it may get very full. The parking garage does not have an elevator so you will have to drop off your bags at the entrance. Overall, great stay and will come back again on our next trip to LA.

Clean & NicePosted Oct 21, 2015
The room was very clean and nice. Everything seemed to be new. Breakfast was good with a decent selection, including two hot dishes and two waffle makers- with two types of batter. It is about a ten minute drive to the airport. The parking is in a secure garage. Too secure, in fact; mother couldn't figure out how to walk back in and ended up waiting on a car to enter and followed the car. You unload/and load in front of the main doors, where there is very limited short term parking. We took the only open spot at both check in and out. It was a bit of a walk to the room, but unless you're not able bodied that's not a big deal. There are elevators. This was the cheapest hotel we could find with decent reviews near the airport.

It was nice but the only thing I questioned was that there was no water or anything to drink in the room.
