Noisy and not the best place to stay. Priced a little high for economy hotel. Quality of breakfast is poor. Breakfast not available until 6:00AM which is late for some business travelers.

Comfort Inn in East Pasadena

Posted Mar 17, 2017
Pros: Front desk staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons: My room needed towel bars.
Location: Pasadena has a lot to do, from the Huntington Museum, Garden and Library, to nearby Descanso Gardens in La Canada.
The room was clean, though I was a bit frustrated that there were no towel bars in the room. I ended up hanging my hand towel, etc., on the shower curtain rod. The bathroom counter was nice and long, which is helpful when you have a lot of sundries. Check-in and check-out were both fast and easy. Personnel at the front desk were very nice and helpful. It was a warm few days, but the air conditioner in the room worked very well.

Conveniently located hotel

Posted Mar 12, 2017
Pros: The room.
Cons: The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and the overall exterior appearance.
Location: It is in the heart of Pasadena so there are lots of restaurants and coffee shops nearby.
The hotel is in a good location but it is somewhat rundown. The breakfast area was under construction while we were there so perhaps they are starting to renovate the hotel. The room itself was quite nice though, and the bed was very comfortable. The wifi was spotty and the printer was broken also.

Colorado Blvd Value

Overnight trip for some meetings in town. Room was comfortable and although on Colorado Boulevard and a room that opens to the street, the room was quiet.

It did its job

Posted Feb 17, 2017
Weird layout. There was a sliding door that led to a sink and the fridge, then another door to the toilet and tub. Kinda Felt like the kitchen was in the bathroom. No free wifi. Otherwise clean room and comfy bed. Continental breakfast was pretty good.

Thin walls in rooms. Inconsiderate, noisy, guests in neighboring rooms were coming and going at all hours, kept waking me up all night, both nights. Non-smoking room had heavy smell of stale cigarette smoke. Tiny breakfast room made for uncomfortable eating experience if there were more than two people present. Otherwise, everything else was fine.

Marginal

Posted Feb 7, 2017 on Hotels
A definite motel, and one on the lower end. The room was clean enough, but the property has a run-down feel and the wifi is marginal at best. I was not comfortable staying here as a single woman and would not recommend it. The breakfast room. Is tiny and claustrophobic and very hot with 2 griddles going full blast. This is a property that should sell for under $100/night.
