Great location and amenities

Pros: Location, location, location! Perfect for LA adventuring.
Cons: No matter how far down we turned the thermostat, it never got cool in our room. Staff tried to help, but it was still really uncomfortable.
Location: Norton Simon, Huntington Gardens, amazing Chinese food in San Gabriel, close to the Metro so you can go all over the city without driving.
You can't beat the location and the staff were extremely helpful. Breakfast and snacks were all very good. The pool was clean and the spa was nice and big. We'd definitely stay here again.

Pros: location and price
The hallway was dingy and needed to be vacuumed. Staff was friendly, bed was very comfortable. Quick walk to downtown.

Poorly handled

Pros: Location
Cons: Lobby furniture in poor condition. Seating in lobby filthy.
Saturday, March 18 at 4:30 AM Fire alarm in hotel! Patrons of hotel evacuated using stairs. Nobody panicked and that went well. We stood outside below the entryway roof. I would estimate we were outside 20 minutes. The front doors were open and hotel staff were at the desks. No hotel staff came outside to inform patrons of status. The alarms stopped and everyone went back to the rooms.

For 2x the price of the other Courtyard Marriot 15 miles away, perhaps the location was worth it?, but we expected it to be a little upgraded on the inside. There is one elevator (which is very old) closest to the lobby and at check-out times (Sunday at least) it took a while to get in. They still have popcorn ceilings throughout to give you an idea of the date of the last thorough update. It was a great location as far as walking distance to all of the downtown restaurants etc. The worst part of our stay was the 4 am fire alarm. We completely understand that if there was a real issue we would need to evacuate (which we all did) but it took an HOUR for the fire department to turn off the alarm because "nobody on the staff knew where the second fire alarm panel was" according to a firefighter on scene that we spoke to (as he rolled his eyes). They had the hall alarms off within 20 minutes, but another 40 minutes for the room alarms to go off. We had people sitting in the hallway because it was too loud in the rooms. Totally inexcusable.

Great old town location

Cons: Parking is cumbersome
The hotel is okay, nothing extraordinary, but pleasant. Your'e forced to valet park and the $19 parking is crazy.

Emergency night!

Our apartment had serious plumbing issues with drains backflowing into the units. Had to warm and comfortable so I looked in Expedia and Courtyard by Marriott popped up Its near me and I've always driven be this place so I decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did. Staff is so friendly and cool! Rooms clean and beds / pillows soft!
