The Elan Hotel is located on bsuy street and if one's room is near the front it can be noisy. Also, this hotel does not offer valet service and so parking is on the street (limited) or in a garage down the street ($36 per night), but then one has to walk back to the hotel. This is quite inconvenient to the mobility challenged. Both parking options are less than optimal when it is raining. However, the rooms are clean and relatively large, the beds are comfortable, and the personal hygiene items provided are of a good quality.

They charged an extra $20 per night on top of Expedia rate. They gave me a bill under the door of 4 cents and it’s only when I went to the counter to pay that they told me I owed them more? What would have happened if I had let that go to my card as “incidental”. The room we had was likely flooded in the past. The carpet was stained throughout with black stain. DISGUSTING!!! Ceiling had been roughly patched (not even sanded) and bathroom paint was all patched up. The card machine for room cards wasn’t working until day 2, then they only activated the card for 24h instead of the whole stay. There was stain on the sheets! You need to call to enter the parking and half the time they don’t answer. On the good side housekeeping did a great job cleaning a really disgusting room. Thank you

No keys provided for the room. Broken coffee machine in room. I was told to go downstairs to get coffee, even though I was never given keys to my room. Charged fees for wine, beer, and amenities never received. Will not be returning to this hotel.

The handicapped lift didn’t work, and there was no ramp. Staff did fix it to go down to street level, but we weren’t able to use it to get back into the hotel. My husband had to climb the stairs. Towels were excellent, very thick. Bed was firm. Not many choices to eat close by.

The hotel DIDNT HAVE HOT WATER OR HEATING IN DECEMBER!!! The water was ice cold and we had to sleep in robes and slippers that we bought because they don’t give you slippers. It was just HORRIBLE!!!
