Better options close by

Posted Jan 20, 2017
Pros: Staff, location, valet
Cons: It was just too basic, almost reminded me of someone trying to dress up a Days Inn
Location: Love the location
Last year we stayed next door at The Mondrian for a few bucks more and loved it. We wanted something different this trip. Sadly, we were let down. To compare, the rooms we "basic". The walls were very thin and we could hear everything around us especially outside at the pool (after midnight on some nights). Our main door was loose so it had to be slammed a few times to actually lock it (housekeeping left it loose a couple times). Added bonus ... the elevator was under construction so walking up and down 2 flights every time was annoying. The positives ... most of the staff we encountered was nice, good drinks and the bar and valet was lightning fast (and all very nice). I was really hoping to like this place, however, I'd go back to The Mondrian in a heartbeat.

Great location, Boutique feel

Posted Jan 9, 2017
Pros: Its location, lobby bar and pool side.
Cons: Rooms and bathrooms are dated. In need of a refresh.
Location: Shopping, restaurants, bars
great location, walking distance to all shopping and restaurants. The lobby bar is cute and great for casual meetings. The rooms have a bit to be desired. They appear dated and crammed. However, the real disappointment was the bathroom - it was tiny and not well kept - in need of a massive refresh here. The poolside is quaint and peaceful. Great spot to have breakfast or lunch.

Not worth the amount of money charged

Posted Dec 12, 2016
My room was hot. AC was noisy and never seemed to cool off the room. I could here other customers through the walls. Floors were thin. Could hardly sleep from listening to the people up above us walk around. The staff was nice and helpful with suggesting entertainment in the area but I will never book here again.

Good location but extremely poor service

Posted Nov 24, 2016
On arrival they had overbooked the hotel and therefore the 2 rooms I had booked several months ago were not available. They then provided a bigger room for all 4 guests and provided 2 x pull out beds which completely took over the lounge area. The beds provided were uncomfortable and they did not provide any ben linen or pillows until we rang and asked for this to be provided. They also did not provide any compensation except a 20% off the restaurant located within the hotel which is a standard. Still had to pay for the 2 room as the other room was deemed an upgrade. Disappointing service from a hotel I had heard much about. The 2nd day we were able to relocate into a different room but the hotel manager who arranged this didn't even know we had relocated with his staff. He asked when we were going to relocate but we had already done this. Very poor service but the hotel was in a good location in weho and the hotel was fine. Will not return due to the service experienced.

Nice boutique hotel

Posted Oct 26, 2016
Location: Short walk down the hill to the gay bars on Santa Monica Blvd.
Like most hotels in the area, the infrastructure is a bit dated, but has had a recent renovation. Unfortunately the air conditioning is still quite old, noisy and hard to get comfortable. But otherwise the renovations all give it a fresh feel. Also like other hotels on this strip, it seems like a party hotel, and the decor in room reflected that with a huge rave image covering one wall. The lobby bar was busy and noisy most nights, with live music most nights. If you want a relaxing stay, maybe request a room away from the lobby. The parking is valet only, and VERY expensive. The pool area is nice with ambient music, lots of lounges and amenities. But don't expect all-day sun as it is surrounded on 3 sides by the 5 stories of the hotel building. Overall I would stay here again and recommend it, but be aware of the negatives of expensive parking and noisy lobby bar.

This hotel is chic, comfortable and location

Posted Oct 23, 2016
Pros: Location location, pool area!
Cons: Dirty sheets that did get changed when asked.
Location: At the foothills of Beverly Hills, restaurants, Hollywood blvd, melrose ave, rodeo drive all within a few miles of this hotel.
Perfect spot for getting around Los Angeles. Valet was quick every time. The doorman was very pleasant. The pool area is nice. I was there with my two teens and they enjoyed the hotel as much as I did.

Wierd bathrooms.

Posted Oct 20, 2016
The beds were nice but the bathroom was small. When you would uses the toilet you couldn't sit straight on it and also could'nt reach the paper it was placed behind you. When you would flush the handle was way in the back so you had to reach under the counter that the sink was on, it was uncomfortable. For the shower you were freezing cold the whole time, they made the shower to long that the water doesn't reach out very far it's like a trickle and you can't adjust the temp of water very well, its always to hot or too cold.
