Not what I expected

Posted Apr 23, 2017
The room was over priced but clean. The neighborhood left a lot to be desired. The room had everything it said online would be there. My next visit I'll spend the extra $14 and stay at the Westin at the airport.

Decent Hotel

Posted Apr 19, 2017
This is a good hotel if you just want a place to sleep while visiting LA. Near the airport so it's a little noisy during the day. Overall decent stay

Don't judge a book by its cover

Posted Apr 10, 2017
The outside looks a little rough but the rooms are updated/renovated, clean, lots of toiletries, and comfortable. The snacks in the lobby for purchase are reasonable and the staff was very friendly and accomodating. The price is right! Give it a chance.

Pleasant Surprise

Posted Mar 26, 2017
I needed a hotel near the airport just for the night, and this was one of the least expensive, so I wasn't expecting much. However, I was pleasantly surprised at the condition of my room. King beds, microwave, mini-fridge and more. The hotel is older, but has been rennovated. Laminate flooring instead of carpet was especially nice. The toiletries basket was especially surprising, including toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, shaving cream, lotion, soap, shower gel, mouthwash, makeup remover, and shampoo. Free in-room coffee maker plus hot cocoa. Room was clean and property was well-lit and maintained.

Older but very nice

Posted Mar 21, 2017
Older motel with open carpark. Smaller room but very large and comfortable bed. Offered small fridge and microwave along with many toiletries. Short walk to food and shops and very easy to use public transport.

Nice hotel close to the airport

Posted Mar 18, 2017
Nice hotel close to the airport with features that make this a suitable hotel for multiple night stays. It is located on major north- south street (Hawthorne) that intersects with Century Blvd, the route leading directly into the airport. While it does not have a pool, it seems quiet (other than air traffic), and the well lit parking lot is directly next to the rooms. It was clean and contemporary as far as hotels go.

Reservation/Room Issues

Posted Mar 16, 2017
Pros: The front desk man was nice.
Cons: Making sure a room is available to folks who have paid reservations.
Location: Neighborhood appears sketchy, but a local said it was okay. There is a Walgreens nearby, and The Forum is only a couple miles away.
A friend and I spent a few days in LA for spring break. We chose this hotel because it was cheap (poor college kid speaking!). Just goes to show that you get what you pay for. When we arrived, we already had a bad feeling judging by the neighborhood we were in. (Later on, a local said that Hawthorne was a good area of LA.) I didn't catch everything that the guy at the desk said, but basically he sent us to the nearby Super 8 because there was some issue with the room that we were supposed to have. (The two hotels must be owned by the same people.) He didn't try to charge us extra, and he did give us some cash to cover transportation. He originally said we would stay at Super 8 for a night and come back here, but after arriving at the Super 8, I asked if we could just stay there so we didn't have to keep moving. Management OK'd it. After this experience, next time I travel I will definitely spend a little more on the hotel to avoid hassles like this.

Very nice for a motel; while it is not in the best neighborhood, the room was updated and fresh. And the hotel staff were really great!
